This is my second time at this location with a terrible experience. As myself and my family were checking out in the self checkout area my mother was approached by a man wearing his mask improperly tell my mom and brother were not allowes to stand together in the check out area due to the Covid-19 virus. We stated we all live in the same household and he said it didn't matter everyone must remain 6 feet apart. The irony was he was standing a foot away from us. In our astonishment we stated our discomfort how close he was to us and wearing his mask wrong and he said its my job to stand here. He refused to move. While he demanded his attention in our transaction other customers watched the embarrassing treatment. We needed to ask additional questions regarding display merchandise sale and as we waited we watched him touch ladies checking out as well as one man. He also got way closer than 6 feet more like half a foot to 5 other customers. He even whispered into someone's ear 2 I ches away from that cusfomers face. Again not wearing his face mask correctly. This was horrible customer service and far from what the Costco company stands for. I'm sure Costco doesn't want its employees making people feel like they dont want them as their customer. Another supporting terrible customer service issue happened before we checked out and afterwards. We asked a team member is a display item was for sale. They said no. After we checked out we checked with someone else and they stated it was and the item was sold to us. There is obviously a leadership issue at this location. Team members don't know compa h policies nor understand best practices. I would love to say this visit was huge disappointing however, I'm not surprised by this locations lack of professional leadership as well as customer service. My previous visit was just a terrible when the check out person walked away into another room with my ID and debit card cause the name didn't match on my Costco card. The team member could have simply said I have her the wrong card but instead walked away with my property, my identity and my bank info. They didn't give a chance to hand her my card instead of my mothers before the manager denied my purchase and asked me to leave. Also unnecessarily embarrassing. This location...
Read moreI been coming to shop at this location from more than 10 years and every employee had always provided a good customer service experience for me. Today, I had an extremely unpleasant customer service experience with one of the cashiers named Lynda. She was extremely rude and her attention was diverted talking to other employees while her tone of voice was rude during the transaction. All I asked her to do was to separate my items in two different transactions. She snapped at me saying, âOK!, You need to tell me that before I scan the item.â When I was in line I told the employee who was moving the carts and sorting the item in the cart for the cashier that I would like to split my items in two different transactions. That employee was very respectful and he said ok. Than as it was my turn to checkout, the employee who was moving the carts had to switch with another employee. So when I got to the cashier, Lynda scanned my membership card and she was talking to another employee. Lynda scanned all the items quickly since I only had 4 items. Than I told her that I would like to split my items in two different transactions. After that she rudely said to me, âOK!, You need to tell me that before I scan the item.â Than she started murmuring which I didnât like. Also, I told her that I had told the employee who was sorting the carts for her about splitting my transactions and I mentioned that before the transaction. Than Lynda said, âExcuse me!â I told her that the employee had just switched with the other person and she was not paying attention while she just started to scan my item. I understand that weekends are busy and the line must move fast but that does not give the right to the cashier to be rude to their customers. After that Lynda completed my transaction, and she said, âI apologize that I didnât know you had told the other employee about your transaction.â She still had a negative attitude which I could sense from her tone of voice. I did not like her rude customer service. Also, even if she did not know about splitting the transaction or maybe she was having a hard day at work. I believe she could have handle the situation in a positive and respectful manor rather than...
Read moreMaybe itâs because Iâm not used to bougier places like Costco. Iâve been to one twice and I feel like anytime I go Iâm being profiled. I wonder if itâs just the training or if the employees have a lot of pressure out on them to meet certain expectations, but they always seem to want to get me out of their hair asap, which I can get as a worker who did retail/grocery. But they are alwaysâŚso unpleasant about it. I went to this location yesterday because I bought a membership and was a little confused how it worked, so I did stay out of the store for about 19 minutes getting my app and account set up. People who deal with the membership stuff were great, nice, and polite but everyone else werenât. Maybe because Sunday is the worst day for grocery shopping?
Anyway, we finally go inside and go to side where the TVs are to see how the app worked and look for scan and go (I assumed they had it because Google mentioned it and I thought Samâs club copied most of what Costco did). And then we had like 3 employees walking around pretending to do stuff (like walk with a cart full of stuff towards the entrance when the exit was on the other side, and pretending to have a conversation while glancing at us) when in reality they were making sure me and my roomate werenât trying to steal TVs so that was embarrassing (again, I worked retail so I know how loss prevention moves around) . A manager eventually stood next to us, pretending to check the merch right next to us and my roomate went to ask him about the app, and at first he didnât even look at her, but instead just sort of cut his eyes towards her and made a look? Maybe because we asked him for help before he could ask us per the loss prevention method hahaha. It was a very awkward experience all in all, especially cause weâre just two regular women trying to figure out if this app had scan and go (for new people like me, it does not), and being surrounded by grown men watching you.
The rest of the store was good, the traffic was just crazy inside, though I wish the app would reflect what was in the store. I tried looking stuff up to see a price and it said it wasnât available at...
