It is a really nice hotel. However, we had housekeeping enter our room twice, with their key, while we were actually in the room. Once they realized we were in the room they hurry up and closed the door back. I felt like my privacy had been violated. I called the front desk after the first incident. They just apologized and assured me they would handle it and that it would not happen again. Then as we were checking out, it happened again.UPDATE: Soooooo as I were checking out I learned from my sister that another housekeeper came in or room unannounced because he dar me leave with my suitcase, he assumed everyone was gone. My sister is not as nice as me shoo she opened the door back and gave him a piece of her mind.. Well... this is where it gets interesting. Two days later the $150 hold is still on my card, which is understandable. But then they charged my card an additional $250. I called to find out why. They said we caused damage to the room. They said we damaged all the linen and towels so they had to throw them out and that we dyed the tub so they had to repaint it. I told them it was not true and that I wanted proof. The manner assured me that it was true and that the housekeeping supervisor had made the report and took pictures. The same supervisor that was supposed to be handling the situation with her staff walking into our room unannounced. So after over an hour she sends me two pictures. One of some rags in a bin with some orange stuff on them and one of a tub that just looked like it needed to be cleaned. I immediately called corporate because I knew this was either retaliation for reporting the staff for walking in or room, or a scam to get extra money out of people. I filled a report. A couple of hours later I get a call from a different Oregon at the hotel saying that they do acknowledge that the towels appear to be rags. So they will refund half of the $250. I said NO! If half of it is a lie, all of it is a lie. Shoo they said they would refund the half now and get back to me about the bathtub. It took days for me to get the $125 back. And throughout this time I did not hear from anyone. Not even corporate. Shoo the next week I called corporate adulyadej. They said that the hotel had reported that they handled the situation and excreting was okay. Yet another lie. This conversation resulted in mr. Getting the rest of the $250 back. By this tone I'm livid that they have staff that can do this to customers. They have no idea what my financial situation was or what kind of hardship this caused my life. And they wanted me to just act like it was okay. They thought they could just give me the money back and I would just go away. Then they offered me a free nights stay. I told them I would never stay at another Hyatt even for free. This wad the worse experience I ever had with a hotel. Simply unbelievable. And it's sad because the hotel was really nice and the front desk staff was friendly and professional. Yet, they allowed a vindictive housekeeping supervisor and staff make this false report and basically steal from me! A free nights stay isn't going to fix the level of violation...
Read moreI recently stayed at Hyatt Place Houston/Galleria from April 24 to 28, and while there were a few positive moments, my overall experience was quite disappointing.||||On the positive side, my very late-night check-in was handled smoothly and efficiently. I appreciated the professionalism of the front desk representative who kindly assured me that my booking—split between points and paid nights—would be managed seamlessly without any issues.||||Unfortunately, the stay itself revealed several areas of concern, particularly around cleanliness and service. Upon waking up the first morning, I found the room in an unacceptable state: crumbs, threads, plastic debris, a fingernail, a booger with hair, and a partially opened pill packet in the bathroom. Due to a packed schedule, I didn’t have the time to request a room change, and given the state of the room, I chose to keep the “Do Not Disturb” sign on my door throughout the stay. That said, a housekeeper still knocked once and immediately opened the door despite the sign, catching me undressed just after entering the shower. This lack of respect for guest privacy was shocking and deeply uncomfortable.||||The overall atmosphere on the 7th floor also felt below Hyatt standards, with a persistent smell of marijuana in the hallway and cleaning staff loudly speaking and shouting in Spanish during working hours, which was disruptive and unprofessional.||||Breakfast was standard for a 3-star hotel, but could benefit from better organization: unlabeled food items, slow replenishment, and a lack of fresh fruits and beverages left the experience underwhelming.||||Another inconvenience was that my key cards stopped working midway through the stay, twice. Both times I had to visit the front desk and re-explain my booking and prove my check-in, which made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.||||Financially, the experience added confusion. Although I prepaid $432.79 for the entire stay as per the reservation terms, I was later charged additional amounts totaling nearly $178. After raising the issue, I received differing explanations from staff, followed by assurances that the charges were voided. This whole process was stressful and unclear.||||Finally, checkout was disappointing. I initially received an incomplete invoice and had to ask several times to receive a proper breakdown. One staff member, Crystal, was particularly unprofessional and dismissive, making the end of my stay feel even more frustrating.||||I’ve stayed at many different Hotels including Hyatt properties over the years, and this experience unfortunately fell short of the brand’s usual standards. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the issues around housekeeping, guest privacy, front desk professionalism, and...
Read moreI’m not sure where to start. First day arriving was a disaster. I traveled with two of my family members. When we first arrived valet guy was standing at podium. We asked if we were in the right spot he assured us yes. We asked if he could help us with luggage since he was standing there just watching us. He agreed to help! As we were getting on elevator he asked for keys to car. I handed him the key. We the go off to the third floor to check-in. We booked 1 room initially, with two double beds and the sofa bed. Once we arrived we were told we had to get separate rooms because they were over booked. We went up to our rooms after check-in. Twenty minutes later we come down to get car since we wanted to grab some essentials. There is a new valet guy there. I asked for keys. He’s like where is the ticket. I told him we didn’t get a ticket. He then tells us I can’t help you. We explained to him what happened and the guy didn’t give us a ticket. He proceeds to service other people who came after us. It felt like we were talking to ourselves. We were telling him the room name and number and then proceeds tell us I don’t have that in my system. We must’ve gone back and forth with him for 30 min. He was not looking for a resolution. He then open the lock box for us to look for our own keys. Now I didn’t think this was right we are looking through everyone’s keys and still did not find ours. He’s still like oh well I can’t help you with a non chalant attitude. Then tells us he’s been doing this for 20 years. So my family and I went to the garage where they park cars and found my car. I was able to open my car with an app on my phone. There was no key in the car. As we are back there he is playing fast and furious in another lady’s car. It was ridiculous how he drove this lady car. 15 more months go buy we threatened to call corporate and mysteriously the keys show up while our backs are turnt. We had just checked everywhere for those keys. We truly think he had them in his pocket and was trying to do something slick since they hadn’t put our name in the system. I wouldn’t stay at this hotel if someone paid me. The lady at the front desk was not helpful either. Someone peed on the floor in the elevator and I informed her. She looked unconcerned and never got it up. This hotel is not worth staying! Find somewhere else especially if your car...
