Highland Village is a great place for shopping, sightseeing, or dining, or just getting a coffee and hanging out. I've dined at PF Chang's, Escalante's, and Smith and Wollensky's and they were all great. The Starbucks is conveniently located for a quick stop and go, and an ~ 1800-2500 foot strip of Westheimer is lighted by beautiful tree lights so its quite nice to drive through at night. The place is very well lighted, patrolled by both HPD and on site security, and attracts many wealthy shoppers, as well as regular folks who are out for some fancy dining, dates, or shopping. The only reason it's not a 5 Star for me is the parking. There is never enough spaces for all the businesses there, and you have to plan ahead and arrive early to snag a spot, or pay for the valet parking service. There are also multiple entry and access points crammed into a limited strip, so unless Police help out with traffic, (which they frequently do) you have to be very careful both entering and exiting as traffic flow can be nonstop at busy times. Other than that it is a great spot to visit, including for tourists, so if you're into people watching you can easily spot them as they wander around with cameras and cellphones. Sometimes you can tell where they are from by the language...French, German, Chinese, etc. Sometimes you can't identify the language by the sounds or words you recognize, but that's...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Highland Village in Houston, Texas and it was an experience beyond compare. I have been going there every month and I can confidently say that it is truly a hidden gem in the city.
The star of Highland Village is undoubtedly its shops. With an amazing selection of stores like Apple Store, William Sonoma, Pottery Barns, Crate and Barrel, etc., there is something for everyone to indulge in. As someone who loves technology and household items, visiting these stores is always a highlight of my visits.
But that's not all! Highland Village also boasts some of the best restaurants in Houston. The food scene is absolutely amazing, with a mouth-watering range of cuisines to choose from. The choices are so great, I find it hard to pick just one to dine in every time I visit the place.
Overall, my experience at Highland Village has been nothing but spectacular. The ambiance is relaxed, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is very customer-oriented. I highly recommend visiting Highland Village and giving yourself a break from the usual hustle and bustle - it's the perfect destination to unwind, shop, dine, and relax, all in one place. I would definitely give Highland Village a five-star rating, and I urge everyone to experience it themselves so they can...

Got there and was offered a table right outside the kitchen entrance!! When we requested a table by the window the hostess said those are reserved! Really bother her that I told her "I asked when I called if a reservation was needed!? She sit us in a booth by a huge machine and she pointed out that it was a booth under that TV!
