The people working in the fragance department are horrible, nothing but rude, and disrespectful. The moment I told the woman helping me, I was not looking for a gift set or something high end her whole demeanor changed. This was my second time shopping here. The first time, I had a decent experience with the lady working the Dolce Gabbana counter. This second time, I began browsing a very nice lady approached from Givenchy asking me if I needed help, I said yes, and she began to show me around. That wasn't the problem. The problem was this other lady that came and intercepted our conversation, saying, "What are you looking for?!"What age range?" and began showing me some fragances from Carolina Herrena. I then explained to her that I wanted something smaller. She kept insisting that I was better off buying the bigger bottle that was $140+ because they had a sale. The moment she saw I was not giving in, she began to act as if I was bothering her. She continued showing me some gift sets and basically pressuring me to buy something she was showing me. I insisted that was not what I was looking for, and I kindly asked if she could show me some small, maybe travel size fragance bottles near the register. And she very rudely said, "This is what you're looking for." You want to spend $30" At this point, she was acting like I was wasting her time, I asked her which one she recommended it, and she said, "You're fine with the Coach" I proceed to ask her if I could smell it and rolled her eyes at me as she was walking towards the Coach display, to which she then reply "Are you going to buy it or not" and I said yes and followed her to the register. She checked out the item I was buying and threw the bag on the counter. I had never experienced such horrible customer service anywhere. It does not matter whether I'm just browsing, wanting to buy an item that's $50 or $500. Staff should know better than to treat people that way. Mind you, I kept my composure the entire time and just tried to go along, hoping she wouldn't end up treating me how she did. Management needs to look into this department closely, I did not expect to see that many bad reviews here, but I guess it's common for them to treat their customers that way. Read moreI have to give many many thank you’s to Peggy in the men’s department of Macy’s Willowbrook. MY GUIDING ANGEL and here’s why: I cannot tell you Peggy how much you helped me out today. I had been to another store before Macy’s and I didn’t find anything in the sizes I needed and when I asked the store clerk, I could barely speak before bursting into tears. To everyone reading this I experienced a death In the family today. I immediately tried to pull myself together to help choose the clothing for the funeral to help out family. It was so fresh on my mind and just finding out that made me numb today. When I went into Macy’s I asked 2 ladies for help and they pointed me towards the shoe dept. to speak to a lady about helping chose all the things I panned to get. Peggy was truly wonderful, helpful, and patient. I had a pair of pants in my hand that I liked when I walked in and then I saw a sports jacket. Peggy took me all around the store in search of a sports jacket like the one I saw. We found one and it was beautiful and perfect. We then searched for a shirt. She found a nice shirt and tie that went together wonderfully. I was not in a good mental state at all and very fragile. PEGGY WAS MY GUIDING MACYS ANGEL TODAY AND I AM FOREVER GRATEFUL. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Peggy even shared with me she had experienced the same thing a few times. I chose a satin pocket handkerchief for the tiny picket on the sports jacket to top off the look and pull it all together then chose dress socks. A million THANKS Peggy !!!! You are a true asset to Macy’s and they are just so lucky to have you there. God bless you. With Covid going on and so many places short staffed, short on supplies … well you made a world of difference to me. You and I even got a giggle in when I chose the underclothes. Read moreBy far the worst walk in to fragances department experience I’ve ever had. Didn’t get none of the lady’s names that treated me like if I was a scam to their department by simply wanting to return a fragrance that wasn’t halfway but 2 inches used. Mostly the lady with the Gucci glasses belittling me is unacceptable. The whole group of women not understanding my reason for not having a receipt or a box for the fragrance that they sell there was just personal at that point. The other lady with her comment stating that this is what people do on TikTok, like what?🤦♀️ I don’t even have Tiktok but her comment just goes to show how they wanted to treat me till I left, but I didn’t. Macys policy says you can return the fragrance if only a bit of it is used. I wasn’t satisfied after those 2 inches of use so I wanted a refund or an exchange depending if I found something I liked but at that point given a hard time I just wanted my refund. After asking for upper management Gaby was very understanding and agreed to my research of their fragrance policy. She continued with my refund and I left in one peace.
