That was the most pleasant experience I ever had looking for and buying a mattress. I’m someone who’s incredibly meticulous about all the details and read scores of reviews online about anything I buy. People buy mattresses online without even trying them, and that to me is a mistake. Everyone has different sleeping patterns, habits, and therefore needs.

Thankfully, the moment we stepped into Mattress Firm Midtown, my husband and I were greeted by the one and only Zachary Long. From the start, he listened carefully to everything we said. Fortunately, my husband and I both like firm mattresses, so we were able to start from there. But I’m sort of a wild sleeper and roll around on my back and side, while my husband is more still and sleeps on his side. Zach was able to show us the perfect mattress that would meet both our needs, especially one that provides both the SUPPORT and COMFORT in ALL positions.

I was so impressed by Zach’s knowledge and ease with sharing technical details about the mattress. He knew the history of it and the scientific technology of the Intellibed, which we ended up getting. He also shared the physiology of the base that elevated our legs and opened our chest helping improve oxygenation to our bodies and decrease the work on our hearts, which ultimately leads to better sleep.

We IMMEDIATELY felt a difference as Zach adjusted the settings on the base to improve our position, blood flow, and relaxation. My husband and I are thrilled with our purchases and can’t wait for our mattress and base to arrive in 2 days. The price was hefty but Zach helped us out with a discount and 0% financing :)

Who really wants to shop for a mattress, especially in-store? I mean, we're just now getting out of some worldwide pandemic. If I'm like you, I enjoy doing all my research from home and totally feel comfortable about shopping online.

A ton of companies offer these satisfaction guarantees, long warranties, etc.. You know what they don't offer? Eva. That's right, Eva at the Mattress Firm, midtown (West Gray location). Who knew good old customer service still existed?! The wife and I were really interested in a Purple mattress and were about to order one online. But while doing research we came to find out Mattress Firm carried them in-store so so we could come in and try them out.

So that's exactly what we did. What we found was one of the friendliest, most knowledgeable staffs you could wish for. We dealt with a girl named Eva. She gave us all the information we requested about the various Purple models and even suggested other brands and invited us to try them out while giving us informative information, and all with this no pressure you would expect from a sales person.

In the end, we did go with Mattress Firm for our Purple 3 purchase. Why, because of their outstanding customer support, a longer home trial (120 days as opposed to 100 days from purple) and the same warranty. Oh, and we got a way better deal than Purple had even with their 4th of July sale and scored some very valuable freebies.

It has now been one week since I purchased my mattress from Mattress Firm on West Gray so I am now ready to write about my experience. I was hesitant to go in at first but I'm glad I did. My sales person was Sidney and he explained everything to me. It was like being in a training class. I am a trainer so I know what I am talking about. He had me try the firm, medium firm, and the soft mattresses. I chose the medium firm. He then had me try the traditional, hybrid, and foam mattresses. I chose one after trying several and he told me that I chose a foam. I gave him my price range and I selected the perfect mattress. I chose a Saturday delivery date and received a call the night before giving me a 2 hour window. The delivery was well within that time. The guys took my old mattress and box springs away and put my new foundation and mattress on my existing frame. Someone told me that my new foam mattress would be hot. Sidney assured me that it would not be and he was correct. The new foam mattresses actually help alleviate the heat. I feel like a new man. This mattress is what the doctor ordered.
