I had an interesting experience at this location. Upon entering there was a worker sitting down in the front waiting area and a receptionist at the register. The receptionist asked me if I was Raven . I said yes... the person sitting down got up and came to tell her different things. She asked if I had been there before I said no. As I stood there I wondered if I was supposed to be filling out a form. As I looked around I saw clipboards behind me with a form but no pen. I grabbed one and walked up to the receptionist for a pen.. The other woman agreed that I should fill out the form and told her to give me a pen. Weird that no one gave it to me. Next the worker gestured for me to walk through a set of double doors. Which I waited bc I didn't feel comfortable as I felt she should lead me as it was my 1st time. I was walked passed the foot massage area and into my massage room. The worker clarified my sheet and told the massage therapist my wants. The ground was dirty with what appeared to be maybe pieces off the linen. During my massage the therapist had good pressure over all. But her elongated strokes on my back and other places were entirely too quick. It tickled very badly and felt rushed. She did hurt my thigh that was tender but she apologized and did not do it again. The walls are thin so you can hear people talking and in the hallway. And my massage time that was supposed to be 1hr but she stopped it 48 min.49 sec. Next was my reflexology massage that was supposed to be 30 mins. It was just ok. She talked to her coworkers instead of just focusing on me the customer. While at the massage area I noticed there was one worker laying down in a massage room on his phone. And two workers in another massage room talking while one worker recieved a massage from the other. Then the woman came out the room briefly and I believe it's the worker I saw sitting down at first when I came in. She then went back in the room with the other worker and someone shut the door. At which point I heard her making loud inappropriate noises. The woman rubbing my feet turned around to see where it was coming from . Then she talked about it to her coworker who was servicing a new customer that came in. Then upon going to check out the woman that massaged me. Watched me write to see what I tipped her. Then she had a very unpleasant look on her face as she may not have liked my tip. I will not be returning this place was not very professional in my experience. Way too lax of an...
Read moreI would give zero stars if I could. I called an hour before our appointment to ensure that my friend and I would have private rooms reserved. The receptionist confirmed the reservation and I specifically requested a female masseuse for my friend. However, upon arrival, I was directed to a shared area with other clients, despite our prior arrangement. I understand that availability may have been limited, but the confirmation at the time of booking was misleading.
While my friend was already receiving her massage in a private room, I canceled my appointment and waited in the lobby. When she finished, she looked distraught. It turned out that her female masseuse had been switched to a male mid-session. My friend has past trauma and was just beginning to feel comfortable, so this sudden change caused her significant distress. She cried all the way home, and I felt utterly disappointed by the whole experience.
The front desk attendant, Lucy, repeatedly cited a rough business environment as an excuse – but how does that justify false promises? Not only did she waste our time, but she also failed to provide the relaxing experience we were seeking. The establishment reeked of Chinese food and was uncomfortably warm, adding to the unprofessional atmosphere. I will never recommend this place. I regret not sticking with my usual spot, Midtown Reflexology, where the staff are consistently professional and...
Read moreA good place to get a nice massage! This place was recommended by a friend. It is located in northwest Houston area. It is on the east side of Studemont Street in a set of stores in the Shoppes at Memorial Heights Shopping Mall. Our group called and made an appointment ahead of our visit. I recommend making reservations for everyone who wants to visit as this place seems popular and was busy when we arrived. They have a very nice foyer with a couch and table to the right and a counter to the left. Everyone in our group chose to get a 30-minute back massage and a 30-minute foot massage. The establishment has 4 couches as you enter the massage area and various rooms with individual tables. I did the back massage first where you take off your shirt and they have you lie facedown. The massage was very strong and very good. Once that was done, the shirt went back on and I moved to one of the lower massage tables as we first entered. You lie down face up and they put a small towel over your eyes and a blanket over your chest. Your feet are put in hot water where they soak for several minutes. Then they give a very good foot massage with lotion. When they finish, they use a warm towel to wipe off the extra lotion and dry your legs and feet. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the massage and the area. I recommend this to anyone wanting a good massage in the...
