Head Spa Bar — Attraction in Huntington Beach

This place SURPASSED all of my expectations with a PHENOMENAL experience. The owner herself works on your scalp and really delivers QUALITY, which other places don’t focus on. There are different packages for service to choose from, and while they seem pricier than some of the other local spots, IT IS WORTH IT. You get what you pay for, and that is a true personal experience tailored to your scalp’s health and specific needs, using QUALITY products.

My appointment went like this: first Michele does an assessment of your scalp by using a specialized camera that shows the state of your scalp. The camera showed that my scalp was FULL of buildup and that it was red with inflammation. So, she went to work to address those specific issues, which I actually didn’t realize I had.

You have to remove your shirt because of the water splashing, but you’re given a comfortable and warm covering that you strap around your chest. Then you lay down on a really nice bed massager that gives you a FULL body massage while your scalp is serviced. It’s not a cheap bed either, it’s well maintained and really nice.

Michelle starts with a facial and neck/shoulder massage, which is soooo relaxing. At the end of this phase, you wear a face mask as she starts on your scalp with warm water. My service included a shampoo, a scalp scrub with a special device, a scalp massage, oil treatment, and conditioning. After about an hour, I was dried off and Michele used an interesting machine on my head which projects light therapy directly to your scalp. Afterward she blow dried my hair and left my hair super smooth.

Michele’s spa is an intimate suite intended for a one on one session, which made it such a personal and relaxing experience, versus the other local spots which have 10 beds/appointments at a time. I am amazingly relaxed and confident my scalp is clear and refreshed! I enjoy massages but this is on a whole different level of relaxation and zen. Michelle has created an amazing space with elevated Brazilian and Japanese products and treatment techniques that sets her apart from others. She's impressively well trained and educated, a nurturing person by nature, instantly making you feel comfortable and relaxed. I received the ZEN treatment plus the ROOTS JELLY SOAK for my feet, I am left in complete ZEN leaving. The data is in the before/after scalp pictures for how much my scalp has improved but I can tell you I feel my scalp is refreshed as well.
