The Pottery Place — Attraction in Huntington

Horrible experience both times (first to paint, second to pick up). The employee working both times was loud and condescending. When you walk in she immediately yells across the room that you must have a mask on, if you don’t have one, to go to the bookstore and buy one. First of all, it’s rude to yell across the room and quite embarrassing because everyone in the establishment is then staring at you like you have done something wrong. While I was painting, she would continue to yell the same thing across the room at just about everyone who entered. Now keep in mind, most businesses are not requiring customers to wear a mask if fully vaccinated and that’s why people were entering without a mask. The employee really needs to learn how to talk to people politely. The way she went about the issue was very unprofessional and quite embarrassing to the customers. The second time I came in to pick up my item, the same employee was working and was very condescending. When she asked what the name was, I gave her the same name as the first time. She couldn’t find it. So she looked up my phone number. And very condescendingly told me i wasn’t giving her the right name. This employee needs more training and coaching on how to customer service. Love this place, i was here multiple times last year and haven't been in a while. They don't discriminate and welcome everyone. They were so nice to me and my gf when we walked in. We were mistaken and thought we had to pay after we painted so we started painting. Person working there came over and nicely told us we had to pay. They didn't single us put and their smile felt genuine, like they really loved having us there. Apparently there was a new policy instituted so we had to pay first. They didn't rush us on paying and instead were so nice, telling us that we could take our time and finish what we were doing first then go up to the register and pay. This is the perfect place to take someone on a date. 100/10 definitely coming back...

My family and I went here. Got a call that they broke one of our things that we painted. It totally slipped my mind after that because I have so much on my plate right now they don’t even call you anymore when your stuff is ready then I remembered that we had stuff there Mind you we pay for the stuff upfront they don’t have enough courtesy to call you even though they broke some thing and they went ahead and threw it away. Don’t recommend it at all because they can break your stuff but they can’t give you a car, but you can pay them. I don’t understand it at all! Go to somewhere where they will actually call you when your stuff is ready And people don’t have spaghetti fingers or...
