The self checkout lines are absolutely ridiculous to only have one check out for a real person? And then when I tell her that I refuse to use the self-checkout lines because I don't work there. She says that it's job security for her while there's a line waiting for her because they can't use the self-checkout lines because they only have cash. Also, because you can't use cash in the self checkout lines, I told her that would be the cause of me not coming back and she insists that it's job security for her while she's having difficulty performing her tasks because she is the slowest person I've ever dealt with. And also I can tell that she is bringing her mental issues to work with her. I've never been permitted that luxury. I get let go. Sometimes you get outsourced because you're not able to do the job anymore and that's sad. But that's the way this system works. This store has more self checkout lines than any store I've ever seen in my life. Crafting is personal and personable and we would all rather have a human being to check us out and talk to us. I don't get paid to work there. You've outsourced your human beings for machines and told the people you do have, that those machines secure their position. How in the hell have you made those poor people believe that when it's going to turn customers away? Even Walmart is talking about removing the self check out lines. I can just order everything on Amazon and not have to deal with your bullshit. Is that what you want cuz that's what you're going to get.. and i can order better quality actual silver..
In fact.. thank you for showing me your aren't with my time. Nor do you value mine. Your bottom line, just lost a professional creator.
Because you didn't want to pay multiple cashiers... But your prices have gone up... Have you given people a raise? Do you give them healthcare? That lady needed healthcare.
You aren't any better than...
Read moreManagers are unhelpful, rude and know next to nothing about their products, yet pretend they do. Had to return some air-dry clay because it was half-dried out. I called earlier in the day to make sure it would be okay to exchange for a better batch and was told it'd be fine.
Got there and explained to the cashier (very sweet girl) what was going on. She was unsure, so she called the manager over the walkie. Manager made her explain it over the walkie instead of walking over to see what was going on. The store was empty - doing this just drags out the process as you're going to have to walk over anyway and make me re-explain it, which is exactly what happened.
Told her what was going on, she told ME to go over and grab a new one...Okay, that's lazy and I shouldn't have to do that as a customer, but fine. As I walked away, the manager said loudly, "This isn't even dry". I walked back and said "Yes, it is in the middle. Feel here and here" and showed her. She waved me away and said "Okay, grab a new one". Uh, I don't work here, I shouldn't have to do that.
So I grabbed and new one and came back. I opened it up and had the cashier feel it to show her the difference. They're probably just going to put that dried one back on the shelf, since they didn't scan anything during the exchange.
Don't talk to customers like they're stupid and especially don't demand that they go and fetch items that YOU should be getting for them. I hate this location so much, they're always so bad at customer service haha. In the future just gonna drive out to the Lincoln Square location. They're at...
Read moreI came here because I wanted to pick up supplies to craft a necklace for a friend that had a pendant, but it's chain broke, so they couldn't wear it anymore. It was super sentimental and I wanted to be able to do something for them and so I thought Michael's was a good place to look for some type of cord or string. Tammy, one of the shop associates, was kind enough to show me where all the jewelry supplies were and even walked me through what knot would be best for the needs and even showed me how to tie it. Were it not for Tammy I'd be stuck googling crafting instructions and probably wouldn't have been able to make something so intricate or presentable, so THANK YOU to Tammy and the store's team for allowing her to help me for the 10-15 minutes this process probably took.
At check-out Emily was super friendly, patient, and even answered my questions on how best I could show my appreciation for Tammy's kindness.
I did have a few questions on how I could complete signing up for the rewards program after I'd left the store, so I called and Hallie was also helpful and informative on just how I could sign up and enroll without losing the points on the craft supplies I'd just purchased.
Anyways, this place is dope and I am grateful for the team at this...
