I had my very first experience this afternoon with Target pick up in store, and I have to say I was super satisfied with the process. I wasn't sure how easy it was going to be to place an order online, nor how long it would take to gather my items, take it to will call, how soon they would message me to pick up my items, etc.
I was not expecting the experience to be as easy as it was, nor for me to be as satisfied with it. You just hear so many horror stories about rude customer service, wrong products, etc.
I placed my order at about 10am, within an hour or less, I received a message that it was ready for pick up. I went into Target and went to Customer Service. I quickly started freaking out with the returns & exchanges line being so long.... but then I noticed the online pick up sign pointing to the opposite side of that line, and no one was in it!!!
There were 3 cashiers, and I was nervous about how they would proceed to attend me. Was I going to wait for the returns & exchanges line to be next? One of the cashiers wrapped up his transaction, went to the back, picked up his electronic pad and attended me. I verified my id with him and he quickly went to gather my items. Asked me to check them and once I did, he had me sign for my transaction. It was the best and easiest experience ever!
Now my only fear is, will other Targets keep up with that same service level and ease?

This is the best Target! Amazing items and helpful staff. I've been shopping here since last 10 years. During an evening visit today, I saw shocked to see people being allowed to enter and shop without masks, in defiance with the state of California's mandate and Governor's order. Upon raising the issue with the head of staff on the floor, I was informed that they have received instructions from corporate to get laxed and not remind customers if they are not wearing a mark (not enforce). This is a huge violation with public health and safety guidelines. Store employees informed me that they have been threatened by corporate that they will not get shifts or be fired if they raise an alarm. They have been told that if customers want to shop without a mask, let them.
This needs to stop immediately and I would like to submit a formal complaint to Target corp HQ. Even though the local Ordinance requires a face covering, store employees are being threatened by store managers or supervisors to not enforce the ordinance, making it a COVID hotspot and no longer safe to shop. Until this happens, request all parents and patrons to avoid this store. It's a public health risk and no longer safe.

Read moreI have used the pick up/drive up feature on your app and now have had three bad experiences. Last night I received confirmation that my order was ready and it was not when I arrived. So I proceeded to cancel the order and have to gather my items on my own. The staff member was not helpful in trying to fulfill the order or apologize he just moved on to the next customer. Which by the way when he did her order was wrong. She was buying 30 gallon tubs and ordered 10 but they only had eight lids and he didn't apologize again he just let her know she should go to the back and grab two more?! (She ended up only taking the eight) On another occasion last month I selected the pick-up section and never received confirmation. After waiting a full 24 hours I went into the store and they let me know that they were extremely busy due to Christmas which was an acceptable answer. Although after 72 hours and your bath sale ending and not receiving confirmation and calling into the store and them confirming that it still had not been filled, I ended up having to go in store and gather my items myself, wasting a lot of time and wasted energy. I have used the drive up feature although since there are times I would like food items and given the 2 hour window it does make it hard since most cold food items are unavailable and or the cartwheel discounts aren't available unless...
