I like Daiso products and frequently shop at the Carrollton location. However, Friday evening(8/21/20) I shopped at the North Irving location since I was in the area. It turned out to be a bad decision. The sales person who rung me up, Cathy was very rude and provided poor customer service. ( I am sure if she gave me correct name. She is Asian girl.) I was purchasing some fragile porcelain plates and cups and wanted to make sure they would not break, so I asked her if she could use wrapping paper to wrap them in before putting them in the bag. She said they did not have any wrapping paper and proceed them to put them into a single plastic shopping bag. I explained to her that I was afraid they would break, and asked if she could wrap each one individually with a bag to help cushion them. She rudely replied, "What?" and continued putting them into a bag without anything to cushion them as I had asked. At that time, I asked her for a bag for each item and I proceeded to wrap each one item myself. I felt that it was poor customer service and I asked her if I could talk to the manager. Cathy then said she is the manager and said that "they are not going to do anything" and then angrily yelled and said, "Pay!". I had spent my time shopping for the items and love shopping at Daiso, and did not want the experience with one rude person to waste my time, so I just paid for the items. I talked to another staff member to explain what I had experienced and asked her who was the big boss, and she told me that it was Cathy, at which point Cathy laughed at me and said to me, "Now she realizes it." At that point, I just left and decided not to confront her rude and unprofessional behavior. This is really unacceptable and poor...
Read moreWorst store ever. I purchased a few items at Daiso ( 7615 N MacArthur Blvd, Irving, TX 75063 ) today (11/29/2022). In those items, there were 4 plates that I picked up that did not have any visible price stickers. As per the price notice in the store, anything without a price sticker was to be priced at $1.75. So I assumed that it was $1.75 but when I paid the bill I realized the plates were priced at $6.25 each (Total: $25). I asked the salesperson for clarification and she showed me the bill. By the time the money was already deducted from my card. When I asked why I was overcharged the salesperson mentioned that it was the listed price. However, I couldn't locate the price tag. After some effort, the salesperson showed a very small sticker behind the plate with the Japanese price. All the other products had a big sticker right on the product in a visible way. However, for these plates, the price was mentioned in very small font on a small sticker placed close to the branding sticker as if to purposefully make it obscure and unreadable. This is a very dishonest way to conduct business and cheat customers. I was not expecting this from a Japanese company who are known to be honorable. On top of this, there is no way to return any products and get refund, although this was done immediately after purchase. Staff were also rude. I will never go to...
Read moreWide selection of very cute stuff including San-X characters. The only downside is the very rude, older lady having a bad night. Right after they made a closing announcement at 8:45 she started shouting across the store that they were closing. I asked her where something was so I could get out of her hair as it was the last thing I needed. As I was following her she repeated herself and I apologized and told her I understood. She said curtly, "No you don't." And muttered something else under her breath. I think something akin to me still being there. I can understand just being generally annoyed, I was there right before closing. But rude comments like that are completely uncalled for. She even bossed the cashiers around, demanding them to make another announcement on the dot. I was already walking out the door. Very unpleasant experience. Definitely make sure you're out of the store 15min beforehand if you see her. At least the...
