Goodwill Store & Donation Center - Irving — Attraction in Irving

I'm shocked and disgusted by my experience at Goodwill at 2935 Beltine Road in Irving on 19 May. I was assured by employee Sierra that an item I wanted was on hold, only for her to sell it to another customer moments later while I was still in the store shopping. The manager, Bryana, refused to take responsibility or apologize, instead defending her employee's actions and saying the store is "in the business of making money". The whole ordeal was deplorable, and I'm left feeling frustrated and disrespected. The lack of accountability and poor customer service from both the employee and manager is unacceptable.

On Sunday, May 19th, I entered their store and immediately picked out an item in their showcase. Employee Sierra placed the item on hold behind the counter and assured me it was “on hold” since I was just entering the store to start shopping.

After shopping for less than 30 minutes, Sierra finds me in the store and asked “are you still interested in the globe? Then immediately said, “I just sold it to another guy!”…”what? But the item was on hold for me!”. Why would you sell an item on hold for me while I’m shopping only to seek me out in the store to tell me she had just sold it to someone else…deplorable!

I might be wrong but it seemed fishy to me like she had someone to come buy it for her. I immediately asked to speak with the manager and after nearly 10 minutes of waiting for the manager an individual named, Bryana came out. I explained what happened and she asked the employee if the item was on hold for the other customer and Sierra admittedly said, “no, it was in the case when she saw it and put it on hold” then went on to try to justify it by saying “the man came in earlier today and said “he was thinking about it then left the store”. As far as I’m concerned that made the item available for other customers to purchase. She literally sold the item to this gentleman even while she knew I was still in the store! I was utterly disgusted!!!

After standing there talking to the manager, Bryana, for almost 15 minutes and listen to her say “they were in the business of making money” and trying to defend the actions of her employee even when the employee kept saying she was sorry and he said he wanted to buy it and he saw it first…what the ever-loving…he saw it first but didn’t place the item on hold nor express interest in buying the item!

This manager Bryana doesn’t know how to manage incidents in her store and took her employees side even when the employee was admitting wrong. No apology to be heard just..”there’s nothing we can do about it now”. Absolutely deplorable!!!

Being frustrated I asked for their names and she refused to give me her name or the employee that helped me name and when asked for their District Managers name and number she acted like she didn’t have it then immediately called him and went outside and had a 5 minute conversation with him then turned and walked past me angrily, grabbed a piece of paper and wrote his email down and passed it to me and said..”he told me not to give it to you but here’s his email and walked off”…this Manager and Employee both need to be retrained on how to deal with customers.

I have had some horrible experiences in the last month.I have been getting harassed by several employees. First off I suffer from high blood pressure which can cause me to have a heart attack. I can't be having fits of anger.I have been very patient with this employees.The manager Danielle, the employees Alexandria, Valeria,and A con artist employee by the name of Robert.The guy Robert asked if we wanted to buy gold and silver jewelry he had some in his vehicle a silver infinity suv.We were looking to buy at goodwill and the display had none which was very strange. I asked him if they hadn't had Any gold or silver jewelry. He said no and proceeded to say he had some in his car.We said really ok so he left the register alone walked us out and showed us a whole bucket of jewelry and he also offered handbags/purses. I bought one bracelet and later found out it was fake.Then my husband said you know he is taking those things from the donations from goodwill. I then put 2 and 2 together and yes he must be cuz why else would you have all that jewelry and handbags in your car?He was also selling to other customers in the parking lot all the while the register had no one there to attend other customers. We have been loyal goodwill customers for many years we always contribute and use to always round up our balance .This year we haven't quite as often as it has happened several times that we decline to round up our balance with Alexandria and Valeria .Only to later check our balance and see they stolen the round off .We left it alone but that is stealing from the customers.It has happened several times that the manager Daniela,Valeria and Alexandria go off to a corner and are starring at my husband and I and are gossiping and laughing at us.Then they proceeded to follow us around harassing us.I tried to remain calm as I mentioned I can't elevate my blood pressure. But just the other day Alexandria said we are stealing which took me as a surprise. She asked to look in my bag and I showed her she saw nothing and proceeded to say if the items don't turn up she would call police threaten me and my husband.She did that in front of the whole store.Alexandria humiliated,embarrassed, harassed and defamed us.I addressed that with her manager Josh and he seemed to be excused her behavior saying she is just 16 and he would talk to her.Today We went in and Alexandria and Valeria were gossiping and laughing as if what they did was funny.I gave this location many opportunities. BUT the entire store is full of clowns and very low moral individuals. I am looking into taking legal action against the store and Alexandria and any other person that has harassed us.I see that they get away with stealing money,donations ,and harassment and nothing gets done by the store managers.Its a darn shame.Your own employees are stealing and then they accused the loyal customers of it. TO THE GOODWILL OWNER HOPE YOU MAKE A CHANGE IT IS DISGUSTING HOW THAT STORE IS BEING HANDELED AND HOW THOSE EMPLOYEES ARE HARASSING customers. I will no longer be purchasing or donating to goodwill until those individuals are removed from the company. I have literally seen those employees walk out the store with donations to put in their own vehicles. I am a veteran and I will be letting all my fellow veterans know not to purchase from Goodwill until those people are gone. Irving location on...

As you step inside this little building with each row of things that you see from shoes that start on your immediate right side. In many different types of sizes and colors as well as seperated from children, women, all the way to the men's shoes. There are many kinds of things that also reside in front of you like those clothes that might work for you or maybe your friend is looking for something for their soon to be new baby girl. There are many things that you see that also has the toys or maybe your mom and dad are going to their first Hawaiian vacation. And you know when to expect that cute summer dress might be there waiting for you to take it with you. As discussed go over to the right back corner of the building to find that one book you know you'll definitely enjoy. That corner looks like a small little library. You'll see the prices on almost every book are MUCH better than that expensive book store 8 blocks from your home. If you have any questions about your desired wants the people that you have seen or maybe made small conversation with, they are many things that these wonderful people will help you out with that question you need help with. Every time I go to Goodwill i much rather be there than any other thrift store than those other two. Please come by and see for yourself. You might be there...
