I recently purchased my first ever computer and being that it is my first ever computer I did not want to mess it up. Before the process of purchasing I verbally inquired to a buddy of mine (at The Downtown Tavern) about what steps I should take when I set about purchasing. The inquiry was actually an attempt to get him to work on it, being that I view him as technologically equipped of mind, but without another word he said, "You should talk to Jonathan Spotts." I didn't even know Spotts did this kind of work, but I knew Spotts and somehow already had his number. The first thing he did was to find a computer that was of the best quality and in my price range. He sent me a link to the computer I am typing this review on. I had looked at many computers during the process but none compared to the one I opened up on this link Spotts sent me. Spotts said to holler at him after the computer arrived and he would set it up for me. When the computer arrived it was a Christmas present in June. I ripped it open, plugged it in, turned it on, and immediately felt dumber. I had no clue. I text Spotts and two days later he met me at The Downtown Tavern where I was watching the USA vs. Belgium match. While I was screaming bloody murder at the television Spotts hooked my computer up. It is amazing. It looks like it is supposed to look for me. All I had to do was tell him what I wanted and he knew exactly what I was talking about, and I'm sure, being that I am not that technologically literate and was watching sports at a bar, would not have been comprehended by just anyone. So, to sum it up: I bought a computer that Spotts recommended, Spotts met me where I was going to be anyway (not once did I go out of my way), and then he set my computer up exactly how I had...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe owner is so freaking rude, arrogant and a smart mouth! A week ago, My Note 8 battery was dying, I ordered one from them for the second time and again, it still wouldn't work in my phone. He swears up and down the problem wasn't the battery I purchased from them but a "software" issue with my phone. The Same thing he said the last time when the battery wouldn't work. He just kept saying over and over it's a software problem not the battery. Last time I had to go to Dang It to get a new battery and my phone worked perfectly. (No software problem). Furthermore, He rudely explained to me that I wasn't able to bring my phone back to them to get worked on in a very rude and unprofessional matter (which I wasn't anyway). I ordered a Samsung battery from Battery Plus,a lot cheaper, and my Note 8 is working perfectly without any "software" issues. I was issued a full refund from CPR but his professionalism, behavior and conduct was very tacky. It took everything in me to keep from saying what I really wanted to say. This man talked so rude and ugly to me to the point I left. I will never patronage this business ever. Even if it's for a screen saver. If you need a battery, go to Battery Plus! Oh and I'm submitting this review on my Note 8 with the software...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA couple of important things to know if you're getting a computer repaired here: first of all, it's a $100 up front fee before they'll take the computer and secondly, they won't work on it if there are any bugs in it -- which is an interesting decision given that bugs are attracted to warm boxes and said bugs can cause problems which then leads a computer to being in need of a repair which is what a repair company specializes in. I'd give one star because they refused to service the computer over bugs, but the employees were decently nice and they did tell me what they believe the problem to be despite giving me a full refund. Still, I had to make an extra trip costing both my time and energy, not to mention gas, so I'm giving a conservative two star review. I'm only leaving a review for others looking to repair a computer here, they need to know the specifics...
