My daughter and I love the movies! When Covid hit we were super disappointed, then feared going to the movies would become a thing of the past. When our local movie theater opened back up we were nervous. Should we go back? What about Covid? What if we don't go back and movie theaters across the nation really do start shutting down? Then The Conjuring 3 came out. We are HUGE fans! HAD to go! We had masks and hand sanitizer at the ready. When we entered the lobby I was watching everyone and everything. They had new procedures in place for lots of different things. We enjoyed the movie. So, glad we went! When the movie ended we just sat there. I wanted to see what the clean up crew would do. So, I watched. I was completely impressed with how they sanitized the whole seat in every row. I felt better. A lot better!
I am also glad that several years ago our theater became an AMC theater. When I used to live up North, they had AMC theaters. I am a Premier Member. The perks are awesome! I earn free stuff all the time! Get free stuff on my birthday. Sometimes we get enough points to not only get in for free, but to get our refreshments for free too! It's really nice to go to the movies and not spend one penny! You should check it out!
Last, about the people and employees themselves. We went last week to the movies. I got my yearly popcorn bucket. Yay! The lobby was nice and clean as always. I unfortunately got a not- so- good employee who waited on us. She was slow, disorganized and I had to remind her 3x about 3 different things she had not done or had not given to me. This was actually a rarity. I have always gotten great service from the employees. They are fast, knowledgeable, kind, friendly, efficient and welcoming. Sometimes I've had to walk up to the counter to ask a question and I'll have 2 employees at once ready to assist me. Great service. I enjoy the various sized theater rooms. The chairs are comfortable. Thank goodness for cup holders. Trash cans are located everywhere. The bathrooms are always clean, always have tp and they don't smell bad.
My daughter and I will keep coming back!...
Read moreOkay... so I had an experience here today that I had to share. We went to see Thor at the 2pm showing. On our way in, we ordered a large popcorn. After eating 1/4 or so of the bag, it was nothing more than popcorn crumbs... no full kernels and every time we tried to grab a few, they just fall all over us. So I went up to the counter, explained to one of the guys and showed him the bag. I asked if he wouldn't mind replacing it. He said he would and said it came with free refills anyway. So I was expecting him to throw out what we didn't eat and either give us a new bag or refill ours. Well... he took our bag over to the fresh popcorn, there was a big pile on the left and less on the right, dumped our bag out into the fresh popcorn on the right, moved it around with the scoop they have so the small pieces would fall through the grate on the bottom and refilled our bag and handed it back to me. I walked away from the counter and was thinking to myself, did he really just do that? And then I started to wonder how many other "leftovers" were dumped into the fresh popcorn that day and had been served to new customers... I can't imagine how many health code violations he broke, especially with Covid still being an issue. It made me feel as if my family had been eating out of a dumpster and I've been physically ill since. I'm still shocked that someone would do something like this... It was our first and last time we will...
Read moreIt was nice not to have to worry about a crowd and to be the only people in the theatre on a Thursday night at 8:30pm. First time there after all this time, but I kept being told others opinions and I just always enjoyed going to my original location. We chose this location because it had one more showing for one of the movies at 8:30/8:40pm that we decided to go to with family in town. I will just say myself or my family wasn’t impressed once we walked in. But we wanted something to do, we were there and it created our own opinions & experience to this location now. It unfortunately had a smell, like the place was damp not circulating the air enough or something, Abit hard to sit through. It wasn’t too hot or cold at the time, just felt damp and the seats felt damp(definitely noticeable), and my daughters allergies really kicked in and had a sneeze fest afterwards. The movie quality was fine, it was just uncomfortable knowing and feeling the building has that wet feel & the smell from it, and wondering how long it’s been like that. I know every place has there flaws, and I don’t like leaving these kind of reviews, but I keep them honest and still kind. I just think some changes need to happen, especially with reading some of the other reviews. I hope one day I’ll have to try the location again, and my experience is better. But until then, I hope things turn around for the place...
