I have had some not so pleasant experiences in this Nordstrom in the past. I am not sure if they have new management or are screening the new hires better but things have improved recently. There have been two exceptional employees that I have had the pleasure to meet and I want to give them a huge thank you. Javaris R. and Lila L. made my last shopping experience a positive one. I was in a hurry to grab baby gifts for a shower later that week and I wanted to purchase a beauty product that I saw online. Javaris was so friendly and patient to make sure he found a perfect box to fit all my items in for gift wrapping. While there were several other employees in the baby dept. who didn’t even acknowledge my hand full of items, Javaris stopped what he was doing to positively engage me in the assistance I needed. He is such a kind and pleasant young man. When I walked into cosmetics I was in need of something specific that I found online that listed was in stock in store. Lila went above and beyond to pull up the sku and see if she could have it shipped to me since they had just sold out of the sets earlier that morning. She sold me on another product that I needed and made sure I received a sample of the item that I went in there for that had been sold out. It was almost time for her to clock out for the day but she never pushed and took the time to make sure I had what I needed. If you want 2 staff who will actually provide exceptional customer service, go in and ask for them. You will not be disappointed. UPDATE FOR ALL YOU BEAUTIES June 2022: I was in the hunt for a new, easier, daily makeup look. I wanted to stick with just Chanel Beauty products. Monique scheduled me with Polly @ the Chanel counter and I couldn’t be more grateful. Polly used eyeshadow colors to bring out my blue eyes that I would have never chose for myself. So, if you are in search of a fresher look that takes less time every day call and set up an appointment with Polly. You will have to trust her judgement and her process but trust me when I say you will more than likely be just as happy and pleased as I was. They might not have all of the Chanel products on hand that she uses due to supply/demand issues from Chanel in France but Polly made calls and ensured I could get my hands on everything she used that I did not have already. Read moreI was so happy when Nordstrom's opened this store. The customer service experience is outstanding. There's a team member to greet each person entering the store as helpful as can be. I'm a parental. Not once did I feel out of place. If there is a issue, I get an email asking how they can make it better. Usually a customer survey follows me after my next shopping trip. Which I believe is good for business. POV area is usually my favorite. But the personal styling with Irene Scott is free and a great place to start. However, I've been a Dior fan since 1984 and I'm very impressed with the news the company has gone organic. Christen and Tesia are tops at this counter and usually my first stop. I'm not shying away from Polly at Channel. Lovely colors. All of the Cosmetics counters have wonderful staff. Each company in the store is well represented. Jessie from Tom Ford, freelanceer. Great job Bridget Jenkins Mgr Cosmetics. She has other surprises coming in soon. If my shoe is not in stock Faranak will offer to order it. The Barnett Sisters work so hard for the store. The Bazille team of Yvonne, Paul, John and Jim are always working on their feet in making your experience the best. The menu's are selected for the good customer experience. Brilliantly done. Lingerie department staff are very experienced in the product they sell. Quietly offering advice for my next purchase or for just some information. Returns - no problem. My favorite customer service members Grace and Angela can solve anything - anytime. Great follow ups. Alteration team are always working with me. Read moreI am from out of town and came here to do some shopping today. The shoe department was very helpful and I ended up getting some boots. However, I went upstairs to the clothing department and was pretty disappointed with their customer service. I walked around the entire women’s department and only one lady talked to me, which happened to be the only brand section I didn’t need help with.. I just wondered over there because I was just trying to find a fitting room. In the BP section I really wanted a sweater that I couldn’t reach. I turned around to get help.. and the two employees in that section were talking behind the desk. I had climb up on top of a display shelf to get the sweater... which is fine. I’m not high maintenance but usually Nordstrom employees have exemplary service. At least where I’m from. Next, I went to try my 5 items on and the sizing wasn’t right so I tried to peek my head out to ask for help.. and there was no one in sight. I got dressed and walked out and yet again.. they were behind the check out counter talking. I handed them the clothes and said I needed new sizing.. she said “ok” and turned around. I stood for a second thinking she would help. She didn’t. So I walked around all the departments looking for new sizes in all the items. I couldn’t find it so I just got frustrated and left. I was shopping for an upcoming vacation and planned on buying, but ended up leaving frustrated.
