I LOVE this Louis Vuitton location!!
I bought my first LV piece on my own when the store first opened. From the moment I walked in until the moment I left, I was treated like I was the most important customer in the store. To me, the amazing customer service and exceptionally well trained each associate was made my first in-store purchase such a memorable experience. I’m the type of person that would normally be made to feel extremely uncomfortable in high end luxury boutiques because people tend to judge others strictly based on their appearance. I have been to the Chanel stores in both Chicago and also the location in Las Vegas. As a very heavily tattooed woman, people tend to make my in person shopping at luxury brands to sometimes feel like I’m automatically judged before I even communicate with anyone.
Every single shopping encounter I’ve had with LV (both in store and online) has become more than a transaction. It is always a very memorable experience and memory. My first in-store purchase was in the 2013 and I was so in love with a wallet that I saw briefly in a YouTube video. I went in and was immediately greeted. I proceeded to describe the wallet and within the first couple characteristics, she walked over and brought me the exact one I wanted. The monogram LV Insolite organizer wallet. I had made previous purchases of handbags online but this would have been my first purchase of their small leather goods and at the time, $745 was A LOT of money to spend on a wallet so I had to make sure this was exactly what I wanted. The LV sales advisor, the customer service, the wallet itself as well as the extensive knowledge the advisor was able to provide was above and beyond my expectations. 10 years later, 4 handbags, 4 travel makeup/shaving bags, 7 wallets between myself and my husband, and a couple bag charms, every single shopping experience has been such a wonderful process. I am going back today to pick up my new Pochette Métis East West in the most beautiful color combination ever Dove/Cream and my most favorite practical everyday wallet, the Sarah Wallet in the Bicolor Monogram. The store went above and beyond to ensure I got EXACTLY what i wanted and didn’t simply say “sold out, sorry”. I wish those with the lower ratings could have the experiences I have. The only review that I find unfair is the person giving 1 star reviews simply because they wouldn’t authenticate a bag that the person brought in. Company policy for all high end luxury brands forbids associates from ever authenticating a product. The only “authentication “ they provide is confirmation that you have purchased a product from the brand and the details of that transaction. The authentication process is not that simple and it is also kept very secretive as far as some of the inconsistencies that confirms that it’s counterfeit. It take’s extensive training and constant supplemental training as counterfeiters are getting so close to replicating an almost identical design. Some of the counterfeits on the market are sometimes even made of authentic materials that have been stolen or not properly disposed of and some even use the same factories and/or former employees and craftsmen that decided to use their talent and skill for criminal activity usually due to the ability to make a lot more money. In 2002, I worked for the Coach warehouse in the consumer services. I would authenticate bags when they would arrive for repairs I definitely can tell the difference from bad fakes you find at the flea market but I’m sure it’s a lot to learn with the “super fakes”. So to summarize this ridiculously LONG review that contained an obnoxious amount of information that most people could...
Read moreOn yesterday afternoon I experienced the WORST shopping experience every!! When I walked into the Louis Vuitton boutique here in Jacksonville, FL I was never greeted by any of the employees on the floor. I decided not to address that issue at the time because I was on a business call and figured maybe the employees did not want to disturb my conversation which is of course understandable.
Later I approached the men section to purchase a bi-fold wallet or two as a special gift for my partner. I was approached by Mio who asked if she could help me with anything. I responded promptly with “yes, and asked do you have any other bi- fold wallets besides the two displayed”? She responded “what would you like to see”? I responded Clearly with “ I would like to see every bi-fold wallet for men you have in the store”.
She refused to show me the items as per her words “Louis Vuitton does not allow for multiple items to be shown on the floor”!
I countered back seemingly confused asking if this policy your speaking of new?
I’ve shopped at Louis Vuitton boutiques as all over the U.S. and outside the country as well and NEVER have I EVER been denied merchandise when asked seeing I AM A CONSUMER ASKING FOR ITEMS WHICH MAY BE CONSIDERED FOR PURCHASE!!
Mio only placed two bo-fold wallets on the counter!! I asked immediately after becoming offended “Do you only have FOUR wallets in the store for display”? She responded with “no we have more” as she looked confused as to the fact I am continuing to ask for merchandise!! I simply replied “I asked you one two many times to pull ALL bi-fold wallets you have for men so that I am equally able to decide on what I want to purchase I’m confused on why you’re not complying with my request” I became offended by her actions and responses!! As if I was seen as a criminal or someone who couldn’t afford the items I requested to see!!!!
I EXPRESSED how offended I was repeatedly!!
The sad part is the bi-fold wallet I decided to purchase for my partner was not any of the ones displayed and had I allowed her to continue to treat me in such manner I would have never seen the item purchased for my partner!!
It has been less than 24 hours since my purchase and now I’m deciding to return the bi-fold wallet as this type of customer services is not acceptable and does not sit well with me!!
Mios actions were disgraceful and over all disgusting to a long time customer!!!
I will communicate this level of treatment to all members of my social media and also contact customer relations about this “POLICY” and how offensive it is towards its...
Read moreBuyer Beware**: I went to the Jacksonville, Florida location to exchange a pair of glasses. The glasses were the Eastern size and I needed the Western size. However the Client Advisor (Esmeralda Cortorreal) refused to accept my exchange stating that my glasses weren’t in perfect condition. I explain that the glasses were in perfect condition, since I just purchased them 3 days ago (1/24/2023).
Esmeralda lacked empathy and had a nasty attitude while explaining why she is not exchanging the glasses. As a result, I requested a manager (Cameron). Cameron without properly inspecting the glasses stated he could not exchanged the glasses because it was worn. He stated it had to be in perfect condition to complete an exchange. I indicated to Cameron how did he know the glasses were not in perfect condition without actually picking up the glasses to inspect. Clearly he was just following suit with what Esmeralda said. He then proceeded to pick the glasses up indicating a faint hairline scratch, which possibly was there at the time of purchase. I explained that the glasses does not fit right and I simply just need to exchange them for my vacation. Cameron continued to say No and said you may contact client services, Since, Cameron indicated there is no other manager to handle this issue and he is the manager of the Store.
It is definitely disappointing to be treated like that as a customer, especially when you just spent $900 and you just want your product to fit right. The sales rep handled this unprofessionally and Cameron had no interest in coming to a resolution. I felt they both used their discretion and because I am a Black man, it came across as if they were discriminating against me. Although, my experience was not Luxurious at this store, it is the only one available in Jacksonville. Finally, got introduced to the real Manager Kathy who was unable to resolve my issues after contacting me to come into the store to inspect my glasses. Driving to 30 minutes to store to not have a resolution is unacceptable (Waste of time). Fortunately, for me my exchange was handled at another location and I was able to get the glasses I needed.
Louis Vuitton service at that Jacksonville location was the worst I have experienced, clearly they are not committed to making a positive impact. Buyers beware of shopping at this location they lack integrity and abuses their discretion. Again my issue was kindly handled at another location with free...
