Liza Aldrich is someone you would spend an entire day driving (8 hours to be exact) just to get your hair done by her. Yes, I did that and will do it again in a heartbeat. Liza is not just a stylist with decades of experience, she is an artist who knows exactly what you want without you having to communicate it. I don't know anything about how to do hair, but I don't have to - I just vaguely tell Liza what I'm looking for and she smiles her sweet and knowing smile and works her magic. And I'm not exaggerating - her work is truly magic. I have been going to her for 20 years now and have followed her to 4 different salons driving even across the country to get my hair done by her.

I initially went to her back in 1998 as a junior in high school in the hopes that she might know what to do with my unruly curly hair. Other stylists had failed miserably, but when I met Liza and explained what I didn't like about my hair, she gave me her knowing look and smiled and went to work. I never had felt so beautiful as when I had left her salon that day. She made my hair look better than I could have ever imagined. I recently drove across the country to have her put highlights in my hair. I told her I wanted it to be brighter, but that I didn't want to have to keep up my highlights (since I couldn't drive across the country every couple months) and Liza worked her magic. She put in the most beautiful highlights that were exactly what I wanted. I remember the first time I had her highlight my hair, I expected I would get the typical "blonde highlights" that everyone had in the early 2000's, but she knew better. She could have easily done that, but somehow knew that I would appreciate something more unique. Once again, like my first haircut from her, I was beyond happy with my hair. The color was perfect and somehow actually made me look 10 years younger. I could never have communicated or even imagined the result. It was perfect.

And really, after this long review, if you're still reading, that's what sums up Liza. She is a woman who has an eye for detail, knows what you want even better than you do, and in the end, she is a true perfectionist. On top of all of that, she is an absolute delight to talk to. I love it here. The very first time I ever dyed my hair here it turned out great, I can't remember who did it. The second time I dyed my hair the stylists name was Shaina I think and she also did a very great job! I loved my hair so much! Then for some reason I decided to go to a different salon where I paid $375 for my hair to get absolutely ruined. worst decision of my life. After I got it "fixed" by the girl who ruined it, i still hated it and decided to come back here to get it fixed because of my great experiences before. Mellissa did a great job! She turned the hair I was extremely embarrassed over, into something that I wanted to show off! She is super nice and is very good at her job. My appointment kinda went over the time they expected so another girl, which I believe her name is Taylor (she had green hair), had washed, dried, and styled my hair. She was super nice and made my visit wonderful as well! I love it here, I don't think ill ever go anywhere else and I recommend it to everyone who asks for a good hair salon! Kimberly W is more than just a talented stylist. She makes sure she knows what your ultimate look is and uses her training and expertise to give it to you. Mine was to have long, thick hair I can style multiple ways and this took over a year. She stayed true to my goal, even when I was impatient and asked for layers, she explained why it would have the opposite effect, so I would stay the course. Now I'm finally able to keep it longer and feel good wearing it the way I want. That coupled with her Aveda product suggestions, I have the best hair I've had since I was a teenager! She truly cares about her clients and it shows from starting with a relaxing scalp massage, to choosing her home base at a salon where the products are actually good for you.
