That was a very awkward experience. The employees are beyond friendly, but the confusion of my order led to me walking out of the restaurant. I ordered a meatlovers pizza, and requested to have them throw on whatever vegetables they want on it. Going down the line, the woman finished making my pizza then while cashing me out she said "Anything else Mr. Roberts?" I told her that my last name is Royce, not Roberts. She apologized, and the employees around her seemed very surprised that the mistake was made except I did not care. A few minutes later, I received my pizza, except it did not look like a meatlovers. I decided to eat a slice, and I did not really enjoy it. For the next five minutes they kept calling out for an Alex to receive their pizza, which is my first name. I realized I gave them my first name, and I was confused because she said Mr. Roberts. They gave me Roberts pizza, and I had already ate a slice. I went up and explained the situation to an employee, and he said that he would take care of it. The next five minutes had a girl continuously saying "Alex, meatlovers" in one minute intervals. I thought the person I spoke to was going to handle it, but instead I had to sit very awkwardly listening to my name be repeatedly shouted out for a pizza. Very friendly staff, mediocre pizza, and overly confusing due to the amount of staff working on an individuals pizza. They should let a person work with each customer instead of transferring me to four different employees while making a 20 second selection...
Read moreFirst time at Blaze Pizza. The concept is interesting and the food looked promising. lordered a pizza and a salad - started eating my salad while waiting. About 12 minutes later, the wrong pizza was brought to our table. I went up to the counter to let them know; they took it back with no apology or anything.
After another 5 minutes, I had to ask what was happening. Someone said they'd remake it, then another person came over asking to take our order again, even though they already had my name and ticket. I asked that they make two pizzas to make up for the mix-up and delay.
There were at least ten people working behind the counter and it looked like complete chaos.
A few minutes later, the general manager came out, heard the full story, and said she'd personally make the pizza and offer a free pizza card. Since we're on vacation and won't be back, she instead refunded the pizza.
The restaurant itself is on the smaller size and extremely loud. Workers were loud, so when ordering it was extremely hard to hear.
When it finally arrived, the pizza was good - just not worth the hassle. Hopefully, they can work on organization and communication because the concept has great potential.
Please note they do take ca$h, however no bills larger than 20$. We didn’t know this until we went to pay. When mentioned to the GM, she said it’s right here next to the door, the funny thing we entered through the patio door. Post it better!! Or invest in a marker for bills! Big inconvenience had...
Read moreFeb 2020 update - I'm guessing that I'm one of Blaze's best customers. Joey (manager) and his folks always do an exceptional job. I always enjoy talking with Joey who does an outstanding job running the facility. His folks are equally exceptional. Example ... Jan 31 was the final day to get a free pizza if bought three pizzas in December. I couldn't master the app and asked Erin for assistance on that last day. Although Blaze was busy at lunchtime, Erin took the time to talk with me and got me the free pepperoni pizza which was outstanding. I have always thoroughly enjoyed my many, many experiences at Blaze ... what's not to like ... all you want on your pizza for one price. One suggestion for the owner ... build a Blaze at the newly opening Durbin Pavilion. All we have is Your Pie, but I much prefer Blaze. Thanks again to Joey and his folks for their exceptional service and friendship.
I went to my first Blaze Pizza this past summer in Disney World. Thought it was outstanding ... smothered with chicken, veggies and a little bit of salami for eight and half bucks. Went home wishing Jacksonville had one and discovered they did, but the wrong end of town. Then I saw that they were building one in the Town Center and was elated. Have been many times and the pizza is always outstanding. I like loading it up with chicken and veggies ... and they put as much on as I wish. Have taken family and friends and all agree that for the price, it's...
