My husband and I came into the Cassie Nail Spa December 5th, 2020. We requested, for each of us, a pedicure and a full set of acrylic nails.
Our experience here at this location was extremely disappointing. Both of our nails were not what we expected nor requested. On multiple fingers, the lady who serviced us, touched our skin with the grinder (that had not been sanitized through us and one other customer) and made us bleed. The acrylics themselves were too thick and were causing pain and discomfort for us both. The paint itself had multiple imperfections and the acrylic was uneven. I requested tips and did not get them. When I brought up our issues with the lady there, she told us to just come back one day and get it fixed. Not to mention, this small service took a total of four and a half hours out of our Saturday that we had not intended to spend because the technician took care of customers that came in after we had already been there.
Our total came up to $120 after the tip. I have contacted the manager of the mall, Ashley Grindstaff as well as attempted to contact the owner of the nail spa, Vinnie Mai. I say attempted because both Ashley and myself have emailed him with no response back. I wished to request the cost of the nails be refunded to us because we had to go get them fixed at another location, Nail and Wax, in Kingsport who are amazing. The cost of the nails came up to around $75 for the both of us. As I said, I was requesting that $75 be returned to me because of the level of dissatisfaction that we experienced.
It is especially unsettling the thought of what can happen if that same tool has broken other people's skin and had particles of their blood that then gets transmitted. None of the equipment was sanitized through myself, my husband, and the other person that was serviced.
But, as I said, Ashley done what she could, attempting to get in contact with Vinnie. I attempted this but the contact email that the mall has on file cannot...
Read moreWell, at least we have a mall. LOL (Please read down to comment about the restaurant.😀) It closes way TOO early, even on weekends. Please, all businesses in the Tri-cities... Ya see people in the businesses and we get "run out" at closing time and people go up to the doors to get in and they are CLOSED. People want to spend money, we want services but this area is DEAD too early. Pathetic.
But, back to the mall... I will say the NICEST thing "first", hopefully so to make sure this will be read. 😀
I guess my FAVORITE place is Nori Japan, one of the restaurants at the Food Court. They cook your order FRESH in front of you on a flat grill. Their specialty is Tereacki Chicken. It is sooo Good.. Like my kid says, "It SLAPS!" We also get fresh, hand rolled Hosomaki Sushi, I think it's called? Tuna or Salmon, cream cheese and avacado wrapped with seaweed with white rice. They get * * * * * 🍚🍣 🍛
Ya see stores come and go. Some of the really nice ones don't stay and ya don't know why. But it is nice to see more "modern" theme stores when they do come. Some areas in the mall, they don't even keep the main hallways lighted properly! It is creepy, a bit scary feeling and VERY uninviting. They need to FIX IT!!! Some stores have great staff, helpful, friendly, etc and others are lazy as $&*# and don't greet you gosh forbid help you. Overall, I go usually to certain stores that have "good stuff and good staff" or at least the good stuff I want!! LOL It is a shot in the dark when you go. Find the good ones, explore the small niche shops, some are nice. 😀
So, go get some good food, check out Hot Topic, Box Lunch and Spencer's (for the of age only in the back of the store, ya know) peek into the small shops, buy you some over priced shoes if ya have $200 to blow!!, bring a flashlight hehehe and try the place...
Read moreI have always loved this mall mainly because of the variety of so many stores they offer to choose and buy from. The only thing I hate about this mall is the location of it within Johnson City ugggggg 🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦. I have always despised the heavily dangerous traffic within JC and also the confusing freaking one way streets and redundant red lights every 20 feet or so SMH 🤦. But the JC Mall usually has that one store u r looking for to spend ur money 💰 at when no other malls or locations have that particular store. Also, when me and my family 👪 went to this location yesterday, it was so damn crowded that u literally had to squeeze by people to get by them and to keep from touching them. I personally don't care about touching others by accident due to overcrowding but with the whole virus pandemic going on, it is risking ur life and mental stability to even accidentally bump into someone cause u never know when someone is going to lose their s**t lol 😆. Plus not all the stores enforced the mask mandate which is completely fine by me cause if it were up to me, I think wearing face masks should be an individual choice just as long as EVERYONE practices social distancing. Unfortunately social distancing was impossible at this location the other day when we visited lol 😆. Anyways keep up the great customer service and appeal to ur customers opinions and ideas when pertaining to certain stores being located and open for business within ur mall. Side note: I posted 2 pics of me wearing a few items that I purchased from 2 different stores within the JC Mall. The outfit was purchased at one my favorite stores of all time.....Forever 21. And the key 🔑 chain necklace was purchased at Spencer's which is another one of my all-time favorite stores in the entire world 🌎. I have loved and adored Spencer's ever since I was a...
