I would have given a better review but... the line wait inefficiency really discouraged me from ever wanting to attend this attraction again.
Worst part - The kid who was in charge of letting people in from the 3 different lines was ONLY letting in VIP people. At any amusement park usually you take a group from the regular line and then switch to VIP and then back to regular line and then back to VIP, so both lines would be moving, obviously VIP getting in faster then just the normal line. NOT in this case. The boy in charge never switched from VIP to the online purchased ticket line or purchased tickets on site at the haunted house line. He was strictly only letting VIP in and the line never dwindled. We were almost at the front, like 10 people away, and stood there for a solid 30min before they even let people in from either of the other two lines, add another 15min before letting people in from our side finally and then add another 10min before finally we got inside the building (btw theres another line in the building - much shorter). Not efficient whatsoever. And very much disappointed they would run their business like this let alone not correct this inefficient practice by their staff. By far the most disappointing of any attraction/haunted house I've ever been to when it comes to waiting in line. Extremely inefficient.
Haunted house - Overall the haunted house part was pretty good. It does seem a little dangerous though. There's various level changes in the floor and majority of the building itself is pitch black so when the floor changes to steps or slanted there is no warning. Definitely understand why they do the fingerprint as a waiver bc its EXTREMELY EASY to get hurt in this place. There weren't a ton of actors, but overall the special effects and actors who were there made it fun. Definitely got a few good scares out of our group.
The haunted house is definitely pretty good when I compare to all others I've been to. However that very first part (line wait) for my first time experience of this attraction really did make me never want to come here again. Hopefully they talk to their staffing about this issue. If they had been more sensible with this, i would have given a 4...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBefore I went to The Edge of Hell, I read the reviews first to get an idea of what to expect and I will say that this haunted house exceeded my expectations! I am unsure if it's because of COVID or, the night and time I went to the haunted house but, the lines was extremely short. I am glad that I didn't purchase the VIP tickets! It took about 30-45 minutes to get through the lines. There were police officers there and metal detectors for security. I definitely felt that I got my money's worth because the whole walk through of the haunted house was about 45 minutes. It is a work out too as you will have to crawl, duck, bend, slide you way through it so don't wear your best clothes because at the end, you will slide down a slide that has baby powder on it lol. The spacing was decent and it was only a few times where we had to wait until some of the crowd went through certain parts of the haunted house before we could continue through. It's pretty scary as you never know who is lurking in the corner in the darkness and who / what may jump out and scare you. The actors were in character and they helped guide you if you were lost or didn't know where to go since it was SUPER dark. Overall, I really had a great time and would highly recommend The Edge of Hell!!!
Pro's: Worth the money. No long wait times to get through the lines. The Edge of Hell put a lot of work into this haunted house. Felt safe. There was a bar and snack bar. My scare level on a scale of 1-10 (7)
Con's: Super dark inside so I got lost and didn't know which way to go at times but, the actors helped us get...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe wait in the line was very dull with a lack of actors or anything haunted, seen more entertainment from the wedding party that was stuck in the middle of it all. The organization of the lines is very confusing for someone from out of town. Thankfully, other customers were nice enough to respond to questions about which line was which, since no line workers or employees were visible to assist. I know that darkness can be okayish in haunts, but this took it to an extreme. You could barely see anything, let alone the multiple gradiants in the flooring that could cause a lot of harm. Now I understand the reason to sign waivers so many times; they (the haunts) are covering themselves more than actually providing a good scare and good time. It's good to space out groups and with them not spacing things out, it caused so many back ups, groups being pushed into areas and actors getting upset because the lines aren't moving. I am beyond disappointed, I thought by going here, it would be a step above the rest versus going to like worlds of fun. I think i should have saved my money and went there. At least, i might have gotten a good scare from one of the rides there. And regarding the question of buying tickets in advance or not, it did seem like the line went quicker than if you had already purchased, I've been to other haunts that actually put a limit on the tickets sold for the night and when they run out thats it, i think this haunt should take a page out of that book and it would alleviate the line from moving outside to the inside, providing better scares and overall...
