Today, we were excited to see Holiday Refelctions. We got to Union Station with my 9 year old son, and my 6 year old Autistic son. This was a big outing for him and he started to get upset at 11:30am, and I asked if we could be let in early because I knew he wouldn't last much longer. They said we would have to wait until 11:45am and we said cool, and we waited while my son escalated. So at 11:45am exactly, we went back to the same guy at the ticket counter, who said we would have to wait. I told him my son was Autistic and not doing well and if we could just get in a bit earlier, but he declined.
While it isn't the establishment's job or responsibility to cater to me or my family, it was discouraging that we couldn't get in earlier, as he had promised the first time I asked. There was no compassion for my visibly disabled son. No trying to accommodate or maybe asking if we could get in a bit earlier.
So if you have an autistic or disabled individual, definitely do not expect any accommodating. Also, do not take them at their word. They will only let you in at the designated time. Even if they...

But be sure to see the Money Museum and the views next door from the World War 1 Museum.. I was fortunate to get to see the Stonehenge display at Union Station on it’s last day. Visited a terrific exhibit, watched the tram take people’s North through downtown for Free, and recalled how Lucky I am to be born and raised in a City with World Renown Flavor. Read moreI'm from St. Louis, but I'm glad I got a chance to see Union Station Kansas city. St. Louis has it's own Union Station, but the way KC has made use of it is a bit different. STL union station is now a mall with more restaurants, while Kansas City has more government stuff like the Post office. KC Union station also still has a transportation element as they also have the Amtrak there too. STL Union station is I believe also has it as a hotel.
