This place should be ashamed of itself for taking advantage of people. Especially being so close to the WW1 landmark it's extra shameful. U can get an impossible burger for $12 and some change but it comes with a bun that is made with egg, even though it's obvious people who order a meatless hamburger patty are vegetarian or vegan and why should they have to pay $2 extra for a hamburger bun free of cruelty. It's a form of extortion. Vegan and vegetarian people already pay extra all the time for food that's actually cheaper to produce. And yet you want to take another two bucks on top of a price that's already higher than your regular burgers. Shame on u.
Now talking about the hamburger bun itself, it's actually more like an English muffin than a hamburger bun. Somebody else in our party mentioned this but it was exactly what I was thinking as well so it's not just me saying this. The burger fr looked like its from the fire festival. Such a rip off. Unforked is a such an overpriced disappointment it leads to anger. Anger won't keep your belly full...neither will Unforked. Avoid...
Read moreWe must have visited on an "off" day; there's no way Unforked would still be open if it functions like this on a daily basis. It was lunch time on a Saturday when Crown Center businesses should be able to anticipate crowd size. There was only one person taking orders at a register so a very long slow line, exacerbated by people who don't know what they want when it's finally their turn to order. The specials don't have prices posted and I was surprised when I saw my receipt to find one Korean pork taco was $6 (there wasn't anything special about it). One person in our party received an incomplete order and had to track down a person who worked there to get it right. Although my order was incorrect, the food I was delivered (two tacos) was good. The staff was nice and friendly but disorganized and not enough people working. Tables were slow to be bussed. Not enough seating either. There were a couple of large tables that had reserved signs and sat empty the entire time we were there. I might go back but probably for takeout and if I can...
Read moreVery good gluten free fish taco. I ordered the Cali, which had fish and pickled red cabbage slaw. I love pickled cabbage and I love fish tacos. I pretty much order fish tacos every time I eat out, if they have them. This fish taco was very tasty, emphasizing “this” as you only get one, the menu does not specify how many, but typically when I order fish tacos or any kind of tacos, (at a not too expensive but nice restaurant that serves actual gluten free food, (not the we serve gluten free pizza but we prepare it and bake it in the same oven as our gluteny food so it is not actually gluten free because it’s contaminated and therefore unsafe for people who actually need to eat gluten free and not just the “I’m gluten free because it’s a fad diet “) anyway I usually get 3 tacos. You only get 1 taco here, which is very good and the price isn’t terrible. It was around $5 1/2, closer to $6, so it’s definitely worth giving this restaurant a try, but know that it is not a filling meal, at least if you...
