Lady Jane's Haircuts for Men- Katy (Katy Fwy) — Attraction in Katy

I've been going here for years and the service has steadily dropped. I think today will be my last day trying to use them. It used to be a good haircut at a decent price with great service. Now it's a good haircut at a higher price with good luck on everything else.

Some highlights of what my problems have been:

I was overcharged for services that weren't performed several times. I would just get a haircut and kept getting charged for the King's Treatment haircut. Most people get that so maybe they didn't think about it when they were ringing it up. They raised the price of a regular haircut to the price of the King's Treatment so that's a bit moot point now.

One time the manager and an employee were yelling and cursing each other out in the manager's office while I was getting a haircut. That was an awkward haircut to sit through. They were in the office with the door closed, but you clearly hear what they were screaming at each other. My stylist also commented on it and at least provided the context of "the manager is fighting with a stylist who thinks they're the manager". This is when I thought about finding another haircut place.

I booked an appointment and showed up 5 minutes early. I was the only person waiting and someone else showed up after me at the exact time I was booked for with an appointment at the same time. A different person than who I had spoken to when I got there then took that person ahead of me and tried to explain that it was because they had an appointment, not realizing I had one as well. When I then told them I also had an appointment they shrugged it off.

After that experience I stopped booking appointments. I just tried to go get a haircut on a Sunday, getting there an hour before closing, and was turned away for not having an appointment. There were 4 ladies in there standing around and I didn't see a customer there. Maybe there was and I just didn't see one. I was offered an appointment for a weekday but after my experience with appointments I passed. Plus I work and if I'm going to have to come back, might as well drive to someplace else.

You can get a good haircut there. The reason I fist went to them was because of bad haircuts at my prior regular place and Lady Jane's did a good job. But I'd say the experience only goes well 75% of the time. The other 25% will be from disappointing to...

To the people who came out happy from this place-congrats. You got off lucky. I sent my husband in for a special they have running. Purchase haircut, get shampoo, neck shave and hot towel. $36 later, his beard trim was uneven, the woman did a shampoo, but he said she didnt shampoo anything except the top of his head (sides count too when washing the hair on your head people-even my 9 year old knows that) The haircut was laughable. He goes in monthly as is, but we will have to have it cut before the end of this month. The glamour shots they have up of each stylist is alright, but dont market "hot" looking stylists and then send out a non smiling woman who clearly doesnt want to be there.A neck shave was requested after the beard trim...she started with one instrument then half way through said "i am just going to finish with the razor". Keep in mind, this was half way through---not as a once more over to make sure all was good and clean. The back of the haircut is not clean and crisp, it is sloppy. Are the stylist going through training with Lady Jane? They need better training and should not put off the impression of being brand new students instead of capable...

I'm giving a 2 instead of a 1 because I do have difficult hair to cut and if you want a cheap haircut with decent women to look at (what I think they are marketing) it was at least that. That being said, I've been to plenty of places that can handle a simple "1 fade on the sides, trim the top" request. That was not the case here. I had to ask her to fix it multiple times and when that happened she would make comments like "I'm giving you like 5 haircuts" instead of just fixing it the way I like it to make me, the customer, happy. My hair is way shorter than I wanted it because you can't add hair to fix a bad cut, you just go shorter. I still have to go get this fixed. I wish I remembered her name so maybe you could try it if you're curious and just avoid her. Bad enough experience I won't go back and even try a...
