🦐🍤 Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. – Kemah, TX Let’s talk about our wedding anniversary dinner that almost had me in tears — and not the happy kind 😒

We were excited. The vibe was cute. The movie theme? Fun. But baby… the food took 40+ MINUTES to come out. Yes, 4-0. It's not exaggerating. We sat there waiting… patiently… We watched table after table get their food — while our poor waiter apologized over and over again 😩🙄😒 He even said he told the manager — who may or may not have stopped by — but offered nothing. No discount. No appetizer. Not even a “let me fix this.” Just vibes 😐🤔 (Not how they treat social media reviewers) IJS

Here’s what we ordered:

🍽️ Me: FORREST’S SEAFOOD FEAST Fish & Chips, Fried Shrimp, Seafood Hush Pups, Fries (x2), no slaw, Tartar + Remoulade Sauce 📉 The shrimp were overcooked — dry and chewy. Honestly, just yuck. The rest? Meh. I’ve had better fish from a drive-thru.

🍖 Hubby: LT. DAN’S PORK RIBS & SHRIMP The ribs? Tender, flavorful, well done. I will give them that. The 🍤 🦐 again? 🫠 Overcooked.

🍹 My “fancy” 🍸 in a Bubba Gump souvenir glass tasted like elderberry + pineapple syrup… I ordered alcohol, but not a hint of buzz or bite Just sweet mystery liquid 🤷🏾‍♀️

😩 By that point, we were beyond disappointed on what should’ve been a special night. But THEN…

🥧 KEY. LIME. PIE. I took one bite and, baby… I felt HEALED 🙌🏾💚 Sweet, tart, creamy — EXCEPTIONAL. It's worth the trip just for that slice! I will literally drive back just for dessert and maybe ribs — if they can get the rest together. Hubby ordered a Chocolate lava cake with ice cream!! Also yuuuummmmmmmm!! So here’s the summary: 💔 Food – Mostly a flop (except them ribs) ⌛ Wait, time – Way too long 🍹 Drinks – Pretty, but no punch 🤷🏾‍♀️ Service – Friendly waiter, but no real support from management 🥧 Dessert– The ONLY reason I’d return

I would have given the place 5 stars but I am disappointed with the way the staff acted this past Friday. I went with family to watch firweorks and the employee at the train station named "Travis " was extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of redirecting us politely, he approached us in an aggressive manner but didn't say a word. Until I stated, ok you can just say excuse me this is not a safe area please going around this way, instead of touching us and looking like you are about to push us". He said "whatever, don't act like this is Disneyworld!" After I told him he was not polite.. he yelled "Thats your problem!" I was so shocked. I went to approach the manager named CARLA. After I told her about the incident she answered "ok, well that is not a safe area" I asked her what she was going to do about his behavior because simply excusing it was not good customer service, she said she was not going to discuss with me and walked off while I was still talking. I tried to call admin and they gave me a "hotline" number. I called but no answer. I deserve some feedback. Is that allnit takes to be a managet there. Wearing a red pull-over polo. Carla is a terrible example...

I wouldn't bother going on another weekend evening. We bought the ride passes (all rides, $28.99 for over 48") and it was such a rip-off. The lines were so long, we were only able to ride about 4 rides total, which didn't make up for the price of the bands (we had 4 kids riding, and each kid got about 2 rides in between them all). The face painting lady was "on a break" for just about the entire last hour (she closes up at around 8, apparently). The zipline is an extra $10 with the ride pass band. And in typical fashion, the food was extremely overpriced (though the turkey legs were tasty). Parking was a nightmare - the attendant just let everyone in without regard to how many spaces were left, so we drove around for half an hour initially trying to stake out a spot from a departing car. And parking was $15. It was underwhelming, to...

Let’s go to Kemah to get our seafood for our non traditional thanksgiving. I love this place soooo much because everything is fresh, huge and the prices are amazing.
