We dropped off several bags of barely worn baby clothes, as well as many almost new toys (we have a toy review channel and get many toys and children’s products sent to us that we later donate) at the drop off truck next to Toys R Us on 8/3. We had maybe 6 kitchen bags full of clothes, a box of baby toddler shoes and several toys worth between $50-$100 new. When the man saw how much we were donating, he got upset and said it would “take him forever” to get it loaded into the truck (my husband was helping him load the bags and we were the only car there). He ripped the bags out of our car so hard that they tore open and clothing fell all over the ground. He also took the toys and literally threw them into the back of the donation truck - these toys were in brand new condition and likely broke due to his treatment. When my husband pointed out to him that the toys were nearly new, the guy just shrugged his shoulders and threw in another item. My husband, who was helping the man carry the bags to the truck, tried handing him the bags/boxes to keep them from getting ripped, but the guy walked past him and continued tearing/dragging the bags out of the car. I understand that people have bad days, but watching someone have so little regard for items that could have gone to other children in nice condition (and many baby items that still held sentimental value), was very upsetting. These items were needlessly damaged because of this worker’s actions. I hope enough people complain about how he handles donations because I’m sure we aren’t the only ones he has...

This time an employee repacked two boxes of Italian crystalware glasses and taped them shut, they also placed a $7 price tag right next to the original NEW price, making it look very appealing. Well, as it turns out it wasn't a great deal at all because they were not the glasses shown on the box at all! They were glass, but not crystal, and definitely not the ornate glasses shown on the box. When I came back in literally 2 minutes after leaving the store I was told I'd be given a gift card instead of the cash I just paid. Well, that didn't stick as you can imagine, but the store manager attempted to make me feel guilty for 'breaking policy.' When I told the manager it wasn't my fault & that her employee did this fraudulent act and I just requested she do the right thing, she acted indignant and walked away, and especially after two other customers joined in on my frustration.
Original: The lady at the register removed a $3 sticker from the boots my wife intended to buy, then pretended that there was no price sticker. She then pointed at a smudged illegible grease pencil marking and claimed that was the price, which she translated as $13. I said to her that the sticker was there when I handed them to her, to which replied that the only price on the boots was the grease pencil smudge.
I guess 2.3 Million a year isn't good enough for...
