Valvoline Instant Oil Change — Local services in Kennewick

I went to this Valvoline location several times for oil changes and I was always very happy with the services. Unfortunately, in January I had them rotate my tires. All seemed well for a few months and I continued to see them for my regular services. I did not have any other tire services after having my tires rotated at Valvoline. In April, one of my tires started to fall off and I was left with one lug nut after a very shaky drive home. I had the car towed to a tire shop for a very expensive repair and rim replacement.

I went back to this Valvoline location to tell them what happened and ask if they could reimburse me for the repairs and the rental car that I required to get to/from work for about a week while my tire was being fixed. Initially, the manager Joseph was very helpful and assured me that the claims team would go over my receipts and picture and that I would likely be sent a reimbursement. Days later, I got a call back that my claim was denied because I had driven over 7000 miles before my tire had fallen off. I did not like this answer so I made a few more calls just to be told that they can't pay for the damage since it had been so long since they rotated the tires and they can't know if my tire fell off for other reasons like hitting potholes or curbs.

In all my conversations with the Valvoline representatives, I was lied to about who was rejecting my claim, details of their investigation, and I only got generic answers of why they wouldn't pay no matter what I said. Needless to say I am very disappointed in their customer service and how they treated a very loyal customer who had a scary vehicle incident because of them. Bottom line is TIRES DON'T JUST FALL OFF and they are lucky there wasn't more damage to my vehicle. They said they had video of the technicians torqueing the tire that fell off but I later came to find out that that wasn't true, all they could see was the employee standing on that side of the car for "quite a while."

I call BS on their reasonings this not being their fault. No ones tire should just fall off unless it was not put on correctly no matter how long it takes, lug nuts can loosen over time and there is nothing else wrong with my car. Valvoline should have taken responsibility for this. I do not suggest going here, especially not for tire services because they are clearly not experts and should not be touching...

I had my oil changed a couple of months ago at this location. I returned to get another oil change per my sticker showing miles and date. When I pulled in, the manager, Shane Gilliam told me that I was not due for an oil change for another 3000 miles. It turns out that in my previous oil change they gave me a sticker for a standard oil change rather than a synthetic oil that last several thousand miles more.I did find out that my car model burns oil after a certain number of miles. Shane filled my oil at no charge and thanked me for coming back. I want to make sure that Valvoline Company just won a customer for life because of of the honesty and integrity of Shane Gilliamat store # 090143..If more companies hired and promoted honest hard working men like Shane your companies would succeed and prosper beyond belief. The American people are craving honest businesses and people that we can support. Thank you...

Instant drive-in (no wait at this location compared to the Richland location!) Tyler welcomed me in with my 2nd car which had never visited Valvoline Instant Oil Change before. He welcomed me bringing in my own oil (since I normally do my own oil changes) and upsold me on a cooling system service. I normally do my own servicing but since I am waiting for my new home to be built, I don't have a garage or good access to my tools. This vehicle, my wife's car, had not yet had its cooling system serviced. He also mentioned a transmission service, but I had performed that myself previously. Everyone here was friendly and worked efficiently to get the work done and get me out. Days later, I have no oil smell, no leaking fluids (of anything) on the ground, and feel good about getting...
