We are here in this town across Washington state from where we live to see the "fluffy" show. Our first dealings with this Suoer 8 hotel. #1. About 2 hrs before we arrived my wife got a message that the hotel TRIED to take money from her account but was declined. We called them as courtesy to let them now we were about 40 minutes out and there big fus was that we didn't instantly OVER THE PHONE give them updated payment method. We told them we'd be there within the hour_we are on our way! We get there. There are several signs about "extra deposits." Multiple hundreds of $$ if this or that; smoke in room, take stuff, etc, etc ,etc. Then another person arrived as we were doing ours and they wanted to target her for like $400 deposit in a room because the address provided was from within 30 miles... like WHAT??!! there breakfast room is pretty small and gets cramped with so many people; we were there and some younger adolescents decided to take our table as we were getting other food items. Yes, the place was full of people, but you see someone's STUFF at a table that usually means that the place is occupied. These people obviously didn't get that lesson in grade school. The staff restocking the foods don't seem very happy with their job with their disposition as the refill items, letting them drop to the counter and halfgazardly throwing things into place. I definitely senced an "attitude" as they did thair job. The pool is alright along with the hot tub. Our room is acceptable. It's been remodeled allot surely but still lacked modern-day hotel feel. The controls for the a/c were stripped, and I had to fiddle with the knob to put it I to a off position to get the switch to turn from the stripped control knob. Besides that our room was clean. Hallways were clean and common areas presentable. We really liked the picture that was above our bed; we inquired about it, we even found the exact same paintings from a site online but sadly we found that the hotel has a private person responsible the paintings to be so BIG for the hotel rooms. I'd LOVE to have one of those paintings that size in my home living room.

Poor customer service, extremely noisy at night both inside and outside the hotel, the room itself was clean and included a small microwave, refrigerator, flat screen tv with cable, free WiFi although not secure, a/c unit that worked extremely well, individual cup coffee maker, hair dryer. Only one tiny bottle of shampoo and bar of soap provided in the bathroom which seemed rather chintzy for the price of a night's stay here! Breakfast buffet ended at 9am and had a small selection of tiny cinnamon rolls, tiny muffins, 2 juices, coffee and tea, cereals, bananas and apples, and self service waffle maker. Coffee and hot water were available all day next to the reception desk. Indoor pool also next to the front desk. Handicap room was at the far end of the hotel, so, although the walk from parking to the room was short and accessible with ramp and no stairs, it was far too difficult a walk to the breakfast buffet and the reception desk. I had to return to reception 3 times to have my key card fixed as it wouldn't open my door. Twice, the wait standing in line to be served was over 10 minutes, causing incredible pain. They should've had more than one person working the desk, and that person should've been able to work faster at checking people in and not taking phone calls in the middle of doing so! The third time I needed help with my key card, the line of people waiting at the desk to be checked in stretched all the way out the door. I couldn't possibly stand that long, so I went and sat in my vehicle for an hour in 90 degree heat waiting for a break at the front desk. The price for a room here is way too high for the class of hotel and service received. I will camp in a tent before ever returning to this hotel again.

Rooms are a little outdated, but that's reflected in the low cost. The service beyond makes up for the furniture. Christina was so helpful with all my questions and has the most cheerful attitude I've ever come across in the hotel industry. She put a smile on my face every interaction I had with her. The location of this place is prime. It's a beautiful walk to nearby restaurants. Across the road is a liquor store with the best selection I've ever seen in my life. Honestly, it's not the place for picky people who expect the Hilton quality at these prices. You get what you paid for. The pool needed to be cleaned, but as long as you shower after, meh! It's cleaner than a lake. Biscuits and gravy for the included breakfast was amazing. Also had frosted flakes, a banana, and apple juice.

Front desk staff, Ibrahan, was very rude and unhinged. He told guests checking in behind us that he just had to deal with 2 Karens. I had left my ID at home, and we tried to nicely persuade him to let us check in with my daughter's ID since she has the same last name and address. He kept telling us it was policy. Then he told us to calm down. We weren't talking loudly or being rude! He finally let us check in with a picture of my ID. Once we got to our room, which smelled musty, we discovered that there were many spots of what looked like dried blood on one of the top sheets. I showed Ibrahan the picture, he stepped back looked at me with a confused look, so I zoomed in on the stains. At that point he started screaming I am not blind; you need to leave. You have an hour to get off the property. I turned to the 3 men sitting in the lobby, one of whom had been denied a room, that he had already paid for on Expedia, because they didn't have any clean ones and asked if we were being rude. They said no we have no idea what just happened. Ibrahan then said he was calling security. We went and got our belongings. When we got back to the lobby 15 minutes later he said that we needed to wait because he had called the police. While we were waiting for the police we were mocked and my 5 month old grandson was made fun of, by Ibrahan. Police came talked to all of us, and said because it was a business and a complaint was made we had to leave. Ibrahan told the police that there were 2 women fighting in the lobby. Which was not the case. He lied in order to get police to show up. I tried to get a refund through Expedia but Ibrahan denied it. I called the hotel the next day and asked to talk to the manager. I was told she was busy and would look at the video footage and get back to me. She still hadn't gotten back to me by noon of the next day so I called again. Makayla told me that Christina was out sick and that she would try and help. I told her what had taken place. She called me again the next day and said that they would give me a refund. Not once did the manager call me and express how sorry they were for what we had gone through. ...

We were pretty disappointed with our stay. However, we understand now, that we get what we pay for and will not choose that Super 8 in the future.

The hotel was very sketch and we were on edge the whole 24 hrs there.

We brought our 2 young children with us and experienced the following:

*Multiple drop offs of people *groups around outside vehicles just hanging around the vehicle and smoking *some vehicle parked out back, full of stuff, and looked like they've parked there for awhile or maybe the guest is a resident of the hotel the pool (which the kids were so excited about) didn't smell of chlorine and had ants and curly hairs floating in it. Also, there was a couple getting frisky in the hot tub, which made it uncomfortable for my family while *trying to enjoy what little pool time we could stomach. *the guests coming and going and staying were smoking in and out of the hotel (even though there was no smoking allowed inside) and we didn't see any other families or children during our stay, just single old or young people. *constant whiffs or smells of Marijuana as we walked the halls, yet the housekeeper had tried to tell the front desk as we checked out that WE were being incents in our room, when our room was next to the one that smelled. *loudness through the night, above, below, next to and outside our room.

the room itself was decently clean, smelled super musty and muggy if we didn't crack the outside window for fresh air.....which wasn't much for fresh air when the resident vehicles had people smoking outside our window.

the staff was nice and the location was decent for ordering food in.

It was mostly the venue itself ( ot so much the staff) that was super disappointing and made us feel uncomfortable and unsafe during the stay. The hotel staff has no control on who the guests can be, sadly - if you pay, you get in, so that's not their fault by any means. It's just frustrating when booking a hotel online that looks clean and safe a and getting there (in too late of time to cancel and book somewhere else) and it's nothing like it's online, plus it's sketch and you feel like you have to carry pepper spray with...
