A+ MASSAGE — Local services in Kennewick

I travel for work and leisure and I’ve had massages domestically and internationally and this was the worst massage I’ve ever received! The therapist entered the room and immediately started rapidly “massaging/grabbing” my back without any introduction at all and no concern if I had any troubling areas that I would have liked to have addressed. That was for me. She gave me the impression that she had no idea what she was doing. Her movements were rapid, aggressive, and very unorganized and chaotic. It reminded me of a bad cardiac rhythm. She spent majority of her time on the left side of the body and not balancing out the massage. There was no music playing in the room at all. That was a first. At one point it seemed like the sounds you heard outside the room were quite loud so I looked up and she was massaging me with the door open. I told her I know you’re not massaging me with the door open! Then she mumbled something and close the door. That’s the first sound I had heard from her during the whole massage. I was paying for a 90 minute massage. I didn’t drift off or fall asleep at all and that was a first. I couldn’t wait for the massage to be over. Then, as I left the room, I noticed the door across the hall was also open as a customer was getting Massage. From that point on, I realized that this is a common practice and you will have no privacy at that facility. They have bad practices and bad customer service. Today when I got on the Internet so that I could leave The review I started seeing all these articles popping up About illegal practices going on at these parlors. Honestly, I’m Not surprised after my experience yesterday. She checked me out and then I realized she did not understand what I was saying so she did not understand English and/or chose not to speak it. Never again. Don’t waste your money. I would’ve been happier spending that hundred dollars on a new picture frame for my art...

Overall a fantastic massage, the music was very peaceful out in the main lobby area, it was hard to hear in the massage rooms. The gal who did the massage did a very good job, not sure how much English she spoke, as she did not say very much. Her table was not completely stable, meaning that it rocked a little bit as she pushed from either side. The experience was a little disjointed, as she didn't explain what she was doing next, she would just leave the room and then come back in a minute with hot rocks. At one point the doorbell rang, like somebody was coming in the front door and she left the massage all together. There had been another person there earlier on but halfway through the massage she left, so I think the person giving the massage ended up having to attend to the gentleman that came in the door. Again I loved the music, and the massage was fantastic. It was exactly what I needed after working eight long 12-hour days in a row. I would go back in a heartbeat, hopefully when I go back they will have fixed a couple of those items, meaning that the table would be level all the way around, and have two people there all the time to address other customers coming in, instead of stopping the massage in the middle. The reason this gets five stars is because the massage was that good. My wife is also a massage therapist, and has been for over 20 years now, I mostly get massage from her, but I happen to be out of town from where she is and up here in Kennewick. After a mix-up at another spa left me stranded due to them overbooking, I stumbled upon A+ Massage and I'm so glad I did. I drove an hour and a half from my small town for my appointment at the other spa and I was so thankful I found A+ that will be earning my repeat business. Their spa, most important beyond convenience was clean… and the other three factors for me returning will be that they take walk ins, have private rooms, and give an all hands on deck feeling massage. (Amazing pressure!) Every second of the massage was filled with 100% effort. I just got the base package for 1 hr, and they even used hot stones. It felt like every second was maximized. No small talk, which I was thankful for. Just getting down to business and massaging with effective, targeted work.

I was also touched by the thoughtful gestures, like a bottle of water afterwards.

It's clear they're great at what they do, offering everything from individual to couple massages. I saw a couple leaving looking super refreshed, and I walked in feeling rough but left feeling amazing and relaxed. A+ Massage did an amazing job and I can’t wait to go back. The headache at the other spa I am genuinely thankful for. I would have never found this place, otherwise. After I was down I treated myself to a mani pedi next door at the nail salon. Awesome...
