Amazing!!! Don't book an excursion with your cruise come here instead. This review Is for the fishing gear rental and not the brothel museum This is the perfect option for anyone that wants to do some serious fishing and avoid the crowd and extremely high cost of a cruise ship excursion. So much better than anything Norwegian had to offer. Kaylie and her mom run a first class operation. They gave us a great spot to fish super gear to use and got us on our way with the license quickly. Norwegian which happens to be an awful cruise ship got into Ketchikan late and it cancelled our shore activities. This ended up being the best thing about our vacation. Huge Salmon great catches and I even...

This is me using the actual usable bathroom in Dolly's House! If you're in Ketchikan, you have to drop a duece, I mean, drop by here. There is a friendly lady at the front who takes your money ($10) and gives you a brief overview and history of Dolly and her life before your tour. You're allowed to walk freely throughout the house on a self guided tour.

Highlights -All the little hiding spots/trap doors throughout the house to hide booze during prohibition -Dolly's vibrator which looks like an actual power tool. -Silk condoms that Dolly ended up making into roses on her shower curtain because they were useless. -Her bedroom and brass bed

Walking distance from...

Cozy and kitschy, Dolly's House -- the home office of one of Ketchikan's most successful female businesswomen -- is open for self-guided tours. The owner -- who earned up to a hundred times a day more than the men working in the area -- served up watered down drinks and, um, other distractions, turning her last trick in her seventies and living comfortably for two decades after that. Her possessions, furnishings, and some rather personal items are well-displayed here, and videos throughout the house help tell Dolly's story with additional photos and factoids. A fun twenty minutes, easily within walking distance of the...

In Ketchikan, besides excursions, one of the popular attractions to explore is Creek Street. Once a notorious red-light district, it has transformed into a hub of small, locally-owned shops, museums. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the Creek Street boardwalk area and especially Dolly's House museum. The small house is packed with intriguing history detailing the red-light district, prohibition era, and an impressive collection of antiques and vintage items. The host was incredibly knowledgeable and animated, which greatly enhanced our experience, making it one of the highlights of our time in Ketchikan!

Dolly’s House in Ketchikan is such a fun and fascinating stop! It’s preserved in its original condition, giving you a glimpse into the town’s more colorful history. Walking through the house feels like stepping back in time, and the stories shared throughout make it even more interesting. It’s located right in the heart of Creek Street, so be sure to explore the nearby shops while you’re there—lots of unique finds and local charm. Definitely worth a visit if you’re cruising through Ketchikan or spending time in town!
