Effusion Gallery — Attraction in Key West

When visiting Key West, we took an unexpected stop at this gallery. How can we not stop in after noticing all the gorgeous Pop Art!

Upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly staff member. She asked if there was anything particular were were looking for but since we were just looking, she insisted in us to take our time and to look around. I REALLY appreciate it as it’s less pressure and as an artist, I love just looking around and taking my time.

But if I did have a question, they were happy to answer as they knew each artist they showcased. Truly professional as any other gallery as the people who work there must also act as a docent , relaying the story and the background.

There are also different price points so even if you don’t buy one of their originals, there are giclee prints that are affordable and easy to travel with.

Didn’t buy anything this time around but I know they have an online shop that I can check out for later.

Five star gallery and...

We visited this gallery today, we stopped in when we first arrived to Key West and loved the pieces (a few in particular) the lady was very sweet and we told her we would be coming back on our way out. When we went back that lady was gone and the women that was there, “The Director “ as she stated, was absolutely disgusting! So rude and arrogant although not sure what she thought was so special about her but when we inquired about a piece that had a “Made in Mexico” sticker on it, she was the most unpleasant person. I assume it’s because she realizes that a unique art piece should not have that stuck to the bottom. Her reason for this was a joke but even if she could convince us it wouldn’t have mattered, her attitude alone is why I wouldn’t spend a penny in that place let alone thousands. As an artist, I absolutely LOVED this gallery and Kim's pleasantness coupled with her knowledge of the pieces made it even more fantastic. She allowed me, my husband, and my mom to wander without hovering or space intrusion while offering great insight into the artist's pieces when we asked. I mentioned during my conversation with Kim that we were in Key West celebrating my birthday. She even gave us a recommendation to a tapas restaurant that she isn't affiliated with. We went on my birthday and it was so good that we went back the next day. Thank you so much Kim! I'm looking forward to visiting the gallery again but in the meantime I will follow your social...
