The Studios of Key West — Attraction in Key West

I had the privilege of spending a month as a resident artist in The Studies of Key West during the summer of 2016 and I can say without a doubt that it is one of the best studies in the country. It has very good facilities and spaces to develop creativity individually or collectively with tranquility and relaxation in the wonderful environment of the traditional architecture of the city. The studio staff is super friendly and very supportive with the artists. The new building very close to the city center and Duval Street, has a magnificent gallery space where they make very interesting local exhibitions, a Books & Books library and the other floors dedicated to classrooms and workshops very well equipped. What an incredible opportunity I was granted having an artist residency in 2016! The staff at TSKW were so warm and welcoming, I felt like royalty! This organization is a driving force in the Key West arts community. I truly enjoyed teaching my floral painting workshop in their bright sunny studio and was so impressed by how helpful and accommodating the staff and volunteers made sure I all set up and felt at home. I was lucky enough to have a residency at The Studios Key West back in 2015 and to date it's still my favourite residency of all the residencies that I've done. Having the space and time to write in such a beautiful and inspiring place was invaluable. The staff were warm and incredibly supportive but also knew how to give artists space to get their work done. I definitely left a little bit of my heart behind there! Can't recommend The Studios...
