I just got back from a short trip to Key West from Thursday, August 27 through Sunday, August 30. I have been to Key West multiple times, and I have to say, this was my favorite place I have ever stayed. My group got the Villa Grande with 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, a big tv, and a full kitchen. We were not in our Villa very often, but when we were it was perfect.
Starting from the beginning of the trip. We took a little time getting down to Key West because we flew into FLL and rented a van. About 4:00 an employee from the company called to let me know that people were not going to be at the office when we got there, but gave us all of the instructions to get in our unit. Upon arrival, the paper work was exactly where the lady had explained, along with a map and everything we needed to get our trip underway. Having a key pad instead of an actual key is a lot more convenient. Another awesome thing is that we had an assigned parking space. Last time I stayed at a facility where I had to park on the street and I spent 45 minutes looking for a place, so this was definitely an added bonus.
When we got into the unit, the temperature was already nice and it felt great. Everything was clean and ready for us to drop off our luggage and go out to explore. When you walk out of the unit, you are on a nice side street in between Duval and Simonton, so you can't ask for a better location. We were literally walking distance from we wanted to do.
The next morning I went to officially "check in" to our unit. The girl was as nice as can be. We explained to her that we wanted to snorkel that day, but didn't know which company. She gave us a few suggestions and her personal preference, and ended up booking it for us on the spot.
The unit comes stocked with enough towels to last you the whole weekend as well as ice trays ready for use. We only used the pool once, but it was definitely nice to have.
Typically, I consider myself a really picky person, but I have no complaints on this unit. The rooms are above average size, you don't hear any street noise, but you are still in the heart of everything.
I highly suggest you trying out the Rose Lane Villas. You will not be disappointed.
I look forwarding to spending my next Key West...
Read moreRose Lane Villa was Quiet Peaceful . Very Convenient Just East of Dual Street , yet noise could not disturb us .
Just strps away ftom dining and shopping .
Few blocks to Kermit Key Lime Pie and Coconut Key Lime Pie .
The entrance to the Villa was easy to operate key pad on door .
We stayed on Alt #25 it was an Excellent Experience for Us . Located on 2nd floor up 2 flights of stairs .
Front porch that overlooks Rose Lane and vehicle parking for cars and small trucks .
Living room with a Television chairs and sofa was nice when friends or family met up with us .
We had a Roomy , Equipped kitchen with Dining table close to front door.
Spacious Cozy Bedroom Comfortable Bed with a private door leading to the back deck that overlooks the pool with table , chairs and sofas . Easy access to the pool .
Cute patio with chairs around the pool side .
Clean Villa with Pool towels .
The staff was just a call away and was very helpful and friendly .
The Parking is convenient for Cars that could be parked in front of Rose Lane easliy , Smaller Trucks could park in spaces but tight if the cars were parked too close to the space lines or the smaller cars parked in the larger spaces which made it difficult for larger size trucks to park easily.as the spaces left were too tight to open a door and the rear hung out in the street . This was not good if you own a 4x4 truck or Crew Cab 4x4 the doors would be damaged when guests open their car doors .
I have a Ford 250 Crew Cab Truck 4x4 and parking was not accessible as spaces were too tight , very narrow not angled or wide enough to park the Truck where it did not hang out on Rose Lane .
To unload or load our luggage , 2 Dog Crates and two dogs we had to park on Rose Lane which blocked anyone from entering and leaving .
I Easily parked my Truck across the street from Old Town Manor which was alot more spacious parallel parking and had no problem there with parking .
The Villas are nice and kept up with clean area .
Very secure place to stay .
Highly recommend Rose Lane Villas and Old Town Manor as we have stayed at both when...
Read moreThere is no longer an office on the premises, but they communicated with us via phone, text and email before and around our arrival time. We've been coming to Key West for 5 years or so and we absolutely loved the location of the villas, they are very centralized and you can walk to everything. We rented the biggest Villa they have that had 2 king beds and 1 queen bed with 2 bathrooms. One bedroom is on the 1st floor and the other 2 are on the 2nd floor - the stairs in the Villa going up to the 2nd floor are a little tight, they take you into basically a little hallway of sorts - the bedrooms are to the left and right, you have to walk up a couple of steps into and they are A-framed so if your tall, like I am, you can only stand in the middle and you'll hit your head if you sit up too fast off the bed. And in between the 2 bedrooms is a nice full size bathroom. We stayed in the downstairs king size room and there is a small bathroom across the hall - it has a stall shower that is in the corner and rather small. There is no elevator in this Villa it is all stairs, which was not a big deal - added to a your walking workout - lol. The pool is a decent size and we enjoyed it every day of our stay. The exterior of the house needs a little love, but overall we loved it and would definitely stay there again on a...
