Sip Thai Zooom. Kirkland — Restaurant in Kirkland

This place was suggested to me by a co-worker. Well, i didn't feel welcomed by the guy in the front right when i walked in. Very unengaged & and off-putting. When he put my to go order on the table, there was no eye contact, no thank you though I said thank you more than once, he seemed like he didnt want any comradery with me. I believe one should treat all customers the same, but I realize people store biases towards others in all environments. My food cost $25, and that's seemed a tad expensive for what I ordered. However, I didn't mind paying because I usually enjoy Thai fried rice. Well, this was the worst I've ever had respectfully. Without going into detail's. Walking in you find a cozy place with a large selection of wines on display. A mixture of bar stool and table seating. Waitress was friendly and let us take our time ordering. Ordered the yellow curry, can't say I am impressed with the food quality when compared with the $18 price tag. Asked for a bit spicy, but it was heavily sweet and lacked spice or salt. Veggies were properly cooked though could do with more veggies at that price. The curry itself was also very watery compared to my preferance for thicker curries. Tasted more coconut than anything else unless I plucked out the veggies and ate them seperately. Might go back and try...

I try the Pad Thai at every Thai restaurant I go to and this restaurant had the best Pad Thai I’ve had in Kirkland so far. I’ve been in this area for 4 years and I’m so happy there’s finally a local Thai restaurant that does it right! It was delicious and the chicken was not dry like most places. I took it to go but I can’t wait to have it fresh at the restaurant and try their other dishes.

2/25 Went back and ordered the Pad See Ew this time. It was also very tasty and I like the extra vegetables they put it in.
