Pump It Up Kirkland Kids Birthdays and More — Local services in Kirkland

At first the staff seems friendly and accommodating. This is only on the surface - there is no sufficiently mature supervisor on site, and a few teenagers working there pretty much ruined our son’s birthday celebration. Our son has dairy intolerance, and before booking we confirmed over the phone that they will allow us to bring BLT sandwich for him as an exception due to his medical condition. This would be an exception because they only allow their own pizza as the only food permissible at their place - which by itself is already uncommon and is a bad sign. Without this exception we would not book with them. The day comes, and the “manager” Tara, whose age hardly qualified her for such position, disallows the agreed upon BLT or any other “cooked” food for our son. Asking to honor the arrangement that was promised due to the medical condition did not help - she went on about “rules”, and about being unaware of any arrangement. Our request to obtain the contact info of the owner was denied - we were offered to contact the “back office” with any complaints we may have. Ended up with our hungry boy looking at his friends eating pizza, getting upset, and having his birthday ruined. Will open dispute and request the refund for the service promised and denied - though, cannot bring back the birthday celebration.

UPDATE after they responded to this review - with misrepresentations of course:

1. "We do make exceptions to the policies when there are food allergies or sensitivities involved, but nothing like that was noted in your record." This is as if it is not their fault that they did not maintain their own record? Also on the day of service they clearly indicated that the promise of BLT, "if made", was a mistake, and that there can be no exceptions for those with food allergies.

2. "Our General Manager offered to drive to a nearby store to purchase something for you, at our expense, to address the issue but you refused." And the "General Manager" was that teenager we spoke with? Nothing like that was offered, since they disallowed us to bring the promised BLT to begin with, instead they said that we can go and find some "chips" for the birthday boy. They also confiscated sushi that we brought as a replacement for BLT and gave sushi back only after the event.

2nd UPDATE: While I would not use their services again, today I went to this place as a guest on another party. It looked like a festival of homemade food - big crowd of children and adults were eating wide variety of homemade dishes. The representatives were walking around and helping with the party - clearly aware of what was happening. They drastically violated their own food policy. While I am happy that they did, it is unclear how they decide when to enforce their ridiculous food policy,...

Overpriced, over hyped and 5 star disappointment. Let me start with the only good thing in the party and thats the solid 80 minutes of fun and bouncing for the kids in the arena and thats it. What followed before and after the fun play was a nightmare. To start with we reached the place on time, just to find out to our dismay that that party room was not ready and it took them atleast 45 mts to give us the room and during that whole time our items like return gifts, snacks etc. were just lying unattended in the lobby, total mismanagement. It seems we were given a dedicated host, but was never informed to us that there's a host accompanying us in the party; the only part playedby by them was to push us from one arena to the other and at tye end push us out from the party room, a total disgrace. We had purchased the photo package and in return we got the worst possible pictures on the planet; not a single picture is clear, almost all the pics were dark and blurry, a total wastage of the photo package. In the party room we were left onto ourselves, from arranging a platform to cut the cake, take out pizzas from the bags, making rounds to the lobby even for the basic needs when we ran out of supplies. I would rate this party as the worst party that I have hosted for my kid, the host (if there's one dedicated for my party) left no stone unturned in spoiling the party. These guys seriously need to think about customer comfort and convenience. A 0 star for spoiling the birthday.

Update: Since I can't post a reply to the managers false claims, I am editing my post to reply to his/her wrong statements which will act as a fine print for other customers for the info not posted on their website: I was told over the phone that there will be a dedicated party host for my party; as per the reply it seems they never provide party hosts for any party but just provide help and supervsion I indeed bought the party photo package, not sure why its not reflecting. But irrespective it doesn't mean that you guys will take blurry photos If the party is timed for 2 hrs, why it wasn't mentioned in the FAQ that the party room will take 30-40 mts for set up? And in the meantime all the items that were brought for the party would be kept in the lobby.This will again serve as fine print for the info not provided on ur website

It seems there's a stark difference between expectations and reality...

Pump it up Kirkland was a dream come True for a very busy mom of two like myself. I was able to throw my 4 year old one of the best birthday celebrations with his preschool class and friends in a stress free and safe environment. The unpredictable weather here in Washington can make the timing stressful on the location of any birthday party and having pump it up be an indoor safe and clean venue with regulated temperature was everything. The moment I drove to the venue to see reserved HOST parking right up front by the entrance to the inside of the venue, the process felt effortless and stress free. I was greeted and guided on what to do by a kind staff member from the moment I set foot inside the venue to the moment I left, making the experience so pleasant and amazing. My guests knew what to do, where to go, where to place presents and I knew where to place decorations on their very convenient carts. This alone made the experience so special and pleasant. My son had such an amazing time playing with his friends in a safe environment and the parents were elated being able to talk to each other while safely watching their Little ones play. There were plenty of places to sit for the adults inside the venue and then two very fun play rooms for the children gave them new and exciting locations to let out all of their energy among each other. The pizza from papa John's, wings, juice boxes hit the spot after a fun time on the different jumping bounce houses and one of the best gifts the staff gave me as a busy parent was setting up and cleaning up post party. OMG THANK YOU! Pump it up Kirkland also had a refrigerator available for my son's birthday cake which was necessary and that I must say was the icing on the cake for me. Wow. 😮 Thank you!
