We checked this place out since Alma beach is now closed and Black River beach has been neglected. The beach area is cleared of weeds and so is the water right off the beach. The changing rooms and bathrooms appear to be no longer (or at least very poorly) maintained, though usable. (I suggest arriving already changed). Lots of hazardous litter in the sand, make sure you have shoes at all times. But with essentially no other beaches in the area,...
