Hobby Lobby — Attraction in La Mesa

They sold me a defect product that shorted my tree lights which could have caused a fire. They said they would replace the lights but lied. I went to the BBB and filed a complaint which is public record. They lied and didn't respond at the end.

The first time I walked in the store I thought it was amazing. But after walking around for some reason I felt kind of uneasy about something. I couldn't put my finger on it, and I kept walking the aisles. I discovered that they don't have much selection of items for my particular craft, rubber stamping. They do have some cute paper, etc., which I have purchased in the past and found that the quality was not as nice as the well known brands. But they don't carry any of the brands that I like, except maybe Sizzix. Their inventory of these products is always very skimpy. They might have the kind of ink you are looking for, but it is never the color you want. And their prices are higher than a lot of stores. I happened to go in there yesterday because it is close to my house. I was looking for a few items that were not for rubber stamping, so I walked around bit. And then it hit me; if you are not a Christian, I don't think this is the store for you. It seems like almost every where you look, there is a religious theme. This is perfectly fine; a store should be able to stock the kind of things that go along with their particular faith. But I don't have to shop there. I doubt that they will miss the amount of $$$ that I would spend there, lol. I will say that if I had a child that needed craft stuff for school, this might be the store for you. They have an...

I drove about a bit to get here but it was SO worth it. After this first visit, I will ONLY come back to this location!

I took a framed painting I made in to get some matting done. But before I came here, I went to Michele’s. At Michaels, they said I’d need to wait a week to get the matting done. It was my first time matting anything so I wasn’t sure if that was standard practice, but I knew I couldn’t wait because of a deadline. So I called this hobby lobby and they said they’d do it same day. And they did!

I had a lot of anxiety about it (I’m framing a painting for an art exhibit and needed it to be perfect). But Aaron was so patient and took all that stress away! He walked me through it, gave suggestions, helped me match colors, and overall just made the process so incredibly easy. He even put it in the frame for me (something Michaels wanted to charge me $10 to do).
