Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad Weirs Beach Station — Attraction in Laconia

Been coming here for 40 yrs I miss the steam train but is still awesome worth every penny this photo is taken from the doc in front of where the train comes in and it's looking at the Mount Washington steam the old steamship Mount Washington that was converted into diesel ship but you really need to come down there and experience it it's once in a lifetime beauty you'll never want to leave and you'll always want to keep coming back lake Winnipesaukee is one of the most beautiful places in New England in my opinion been going there for 46 years and if you get a chance to go around the lake to Melville village wolfeboro all of the other side or what some people call the rich side of the lake but there's a lot going on...

This is interesting to do both for the scenic ride and for the turkey dinner, which was the main reason we went. The dinner on the train was pretty much a full up Thanksgiving dinner with turkey dressing mashed potatoes gravy etc. The railroad runs along the lake and is a very scenic ride. This was an okay thing to do with the family. The staff is the reason for a 4 stars, but the experience itself is 3 stars. The trains were a bit run down and the “first class” cabin was more like coach. I was hoping for better snacks, but we were offered a 2 pack of Oreos and a mini soda.
