Channel Waterfront Cottages — Hotel in Laconia

The Channel Waterfront Cottages are truly one of our all-time favorite places to be! The location is absolutely perfect—you can relax on the private island or private beach and watch the boats drift by, then take a short five-minute walk to Weirs Beach and the boardwalk, where you'll find arcades, shops, sweet treats, restaurants, and live music.

Each cottage is unique and charming, with options to accommodate couples all the way up to larger families. I’ve stayed in five different cottages over the years and loved every single one! The owners, Jose and Stacie, are simply incredible—so warm and welcoming. They take wonderful care of the property, keeping everything spotless and in top-notch condition.

My husband and I first visited in 2014, on our first trip away after the birth of our son, and we’ve been coming back ever since. Our favorite thing to do there is to relax on a float in the channel, with a cold beverage (or 2) and watch the boats go by. A few years ago, my dad, my son, and I started a special tradition of coming up every Memorial Day weekend, and it’s become one of our most cherished times together.

My husband and I have vacationed on Winnipesaukee for the last 9 years. We've always driven by the cottages on our boat and thought what a great location. This year we decided to make this our vacation spot. This was by far the best vacation ever! |Jose and Stacie, our hosts, were absolutely amazing. Tried to book a room here over a month ago, could not get a price for the room I wanted. Instead of giving me a price, they just said i didnt have enough guests. They tried to sell me a different room, but still didn't give a price. So now I ask about the night I needed, for recommended room, and in response, was told we couldn't rent just one night. So I asked how much for the two nights. Why does the guest count matter? Dont know. Price would be the same wouldnt it? One month later I get a follow up email, trying to place me in a room. I ask AGAIN about the room I originally wanted, I am told its a minimum 3 night stay, for almost 1000 dollars. This is the first time I got a price, and for nights I dont even need, and a month after I tried to book a single night. That being said I would have done two night but apparently thats not enough money for them. I already booked somewhere else. This guy Jose is a nightmare to get information from. Dont waste your time here. Its a rip off and nothing but a run around. Get what you want, if you dont get what you want go somewhere else, much less frustrating. You lost...
