This community welcomed me when I was a young adult. It is a vibrant, faithful, gracious community of individuals seeking to grow up into Christ and encourage and extend grace to others who are just trying to figure out life and God. This community has a rich history in the roots of Laguna; its early formation as a city. Individual members rallied the call to action in the fire of 1993--and became a place of interfaith caring and compassion for those who lost everything. People may go to church to find God but they stay because they find each other. I'm an atheist, I went to an Alpha religious exploration meeting at Laguna Pres. It went as well as could be expected. They were friendly enough and the food was decent. I was trying not to be combative but I think I failed. I'm not sure why I went. I don't think I found what I was looking for. I may go to another meeting if I can remember to put it on my calendar.
