Love the vibe of this place and with an ocean view to boot! Coastal Bliss in Every Cup.
Stumbled upon this gem while meandering through Laguna today, and I'm utterly besotted with Coast Coffee! The moment you cross the threshold, you're enveloped in an ambiance that strikes the perfect equilibrium between beachside casual and sophisticated café culture.
The baristas here don't merely prepare beverages—they orchestrate liquid symphonies. My matcha latte with shot of espresso exhibited flawless microfoam artistry atop a robust, nuanced espresso foundation with subtle notes of dark chocolate and cherry. Not overly acidic, not excessively bitter—just impeccably balanced. I can’t wait to come back and try their dark chocolate mocha which is sugar-free.
What truly distinguishes Coast Coffee, however, is their genuine dedication to sustainability. Biodegradable packaging, locally-sourced ingredients, and a visible commitment to reducing their ecological footprint—all without compromising on quality or experience.
The panoramic ocean vista from their patio seating elevates your coffee ritual into something transcendent. There's something profoundly therapeutic about savoring exceptional coffee while watching waves cascade against the shore.
Whether you're a discerning coffee connoisseur or simply in pursuit of a tranquil retreat, Coast Coffee deserves your patronage. This establishment has indisputably secured its position as my go-to café in Laguna....
Read moreGreat vibes, great seating, beautiful space, but dear god avoid the chia bomb.
The third party who designed this abomination of a breakfast has clearly never tried eating one.
It’s like a 1/4 jar of unsweetened peanut butter atop a cup of unsweetened chia pudding with like a TOUCH of honey atop and 3.2 berries. The spoon struggles to reach the chia beneath the top third of peanut butter). The cup is taller than a standard spoon, so now you’re grasping the tippy edge of the spoon just to reach the chia beneath, getting peanut butter all over both the spoon handle and the innocent hands that just want nourishment. Also these two unsweetened ingredients are meh when combined.
I hate throwing away food, and I’m certain no surfer or homeless would eat this scourge of society as a snack.
You might be asking yourself: Dude, why so much content about a cup of bad breakfast? Chill. Respectfully, no, I will not chill! The chia bomb violates first principles in every way. We can do better, America. We can do better.
A TOUCH sweeter on the lattes too please and you MIGHT compete with Laguna...
Read moreThis is advice for the owners to have a teaching moment with your staff. Waiting in line and another customer at the register is inquiring about what I do not know but clearly not ordering a drink. The staff member is being helpful but doesnt even acknowledge me to say he will be right with me or even better yet hand me to the other staff member at the coffee machine on her phone. The coffee machine lady looks at me or rather through me and walks away I to the back room. She comes back and I try to grab her attention while the other conversation is still going on …more than 5 minutes have elapsed.
So I just walk out and zero acknowledgment. Just terrible service on basic 101 customer service that I as a business owner Instill w my large team.
The guy who trained this team who I met before needs to come back and do scenario training assuming he even has the customer service gene.
As a local I really can’t recommend this place again when I had high hopes for the location & decent coffee.
I look forward to a...
