I've been visiting this crystal shop in Laguna Beach for years, and it remains my favorite. The personalized experience and the wealth of knowledge shared by the owner keep me coming back. She always takes the time to explain the meaning and benefits of each crystal and offers thoughtful suggestions on how to work with them.

I’ve seen some negative reviews mentioning things like the owner being rude, overpriced items, or rules about handling crystals, and I felt compelled to share my perspective. The owner has always been kind and genuine with me. During a tough time in 2020, she even checked in on me, despite knowing I wasn’t in a position to buy anything. That level of care and compassion meant a lot, and she continues to reach out even though I’ve since moved out of California.

For years, I visited the shop just to browse, learning about crystals without ever feeling pressured to make a purchase. I was always treated with the same respect and warmth as paying customers.

Yes, the crystals are marked up, but this is a small shop in a high-cost area like Laguna Beach. Just as you’d expect to pay more in Beverly Hills, the same applies here. For me, it’s not just about the price—it’s about the energy and the experience. The shop is small and packed, so I understand the rules about not touching every item. Personally, I’ve always been allowed to handle the pieces I’m seriously considering, and the owner’s suggestions have often led me to some truly special finds.

As for claims of fake crystals or unfair pricing, I can only speak from my own experience. I’ve purchased crystals here and from other places while traveling, and I’ve always felt I received a fair value for the quality and energy of the items I’ve chosen.

I am a Crystal enthusiast and have been to Crystal shops around the world so when I say that this is the worst - please know that it is coming from a place of having seen quit a bit.

The owner is both unethical and unprofessional.

Markups are not unusual in crystal shops and common in beach areas however, the markups here are outrageous. The owner described unique crystals as rare to justify pricing which became repeated lies. Unique and interesting crystals, even specialty crystals, are cool but it does not often make them rare. She has beautiful crystals but not rare crystals. Generally speaking, crystals in this shop were marked up 3-5x above what the pricing should be.

The markups are a bummer but not the worst thing about the shop - it’s the owners foul behavior. As we explored the shop, the owner became increasingly agitated asking aggressively what we did for a living and if we were residents or guests of Laguna Beach. It felt like we were being interrogated and being sized up on whether we were worth being in her store. Her agitation grew into coming right behind us and telling us, “that’s enough. It’s time for you to go” as she ushered us out of her shop. When I shared that we would not be back, her response was “good”.

Unfortunately, we learned from other locals that the bad behavior is well known. I imagine if you come in and pay the high prices quickly and efficiently - this could be a safe place for you. If you want somewhat appropriately priced crystals - not the place for you. If you want to shop around and see what is available with no commitment - not the place for you. If you want a place that exudes positive energy - not the place for you. There are so many other stores to go and enjoy - no need to...

This place is overpriced indeed. Elsa the owner is very rude and unprofessional. We spent about 30min in that store and quickly took notice on how other customers felt unwelcome and uncomfortable at Elsa’s behavior towards them whenever they said they were “just looking.”

When we eventually decided to buy a few small items and started checking out, suddenly Elsa walked away and left us waiting by register in the middle of our transaction to deal with other customers. While waiting for Elsa to come back and finish the sale, we witnessed how others were leaving the store while complaining about her poor customer service. We began to feel very frustrated and decided to leave the store.

To our surprise, Elsa started chasing us and threatening us with bad karma if we didn’t buy things from her. She also made an offensive statement about me being foreigner from Russia. I have been in USA for 30 years and I have never been humiliated by anyone! My culture had nothing to do with our transaction. She is simply using any means of retaliation towards us in return for not purchasing...
