This is a quaint bookshop with a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction books. Perfect for anyone looking for some light reading while vacationing in Laguna Beach. I found a very handy trail guide book for Orange county that I'll definitely be taking advantage of. They also have children's books and activity sets available for young ones, perfect for antsy kids that you may need to keep entertained during your visit.

The staff is very friendly with no pressure whatsoever allowing you to take as much time as you like to shop around, and they keep the prices of their books to the listed MSRPs. If you're looking for anything specific, they may be able to order it for you to pick up later. All in all a great place to get some good reads and shop local. I am such a FAN! I’m a local, home for a visit from Northern California. I had finished the book that I had brought, and was in dire need of a good mystery read. I came to LBBS and inquired…they sent me to the area for my specific interest. I couldn’t land on something and so I chose a book that I was lukewarm about. When I got to the cash register, the owner was able to answer my questions about the chosen read…BUT the other person at the cash register had a recommendation! The Thursday Murder Club. Beautiful Book shop! This place is my favorite bookstore when I’m in town. Well lit, friendly owners. After I was asked if I needed help, I explained that “I’ll know the book genre and book when I see it”. He mentioned that he is exactly the same. There were other people in the store exploring but it was like if almost on Queue when I was subconsciously thinking I need help, he came to check on me! I ended up buying two books when I told myself I would only buy one.
