Awful venue! SO disappointed! I saw Waterparks on June 2, 2023. The band was AMAZING, but the venue was terrible! I will never purchase tickets to this venue again. Which is a bummer because it is one of the only places that good bands play ANYWHERE near Jacksonville. I didn't get there a half hour before 1800 (doors opened at 1730, opening act started approx. 1800, Waterparks didn't get on until 2040). SO MUCH of the venue is carved out for overpriced VIP seating, the lowest tier of which STILL has obstructed views. Then there are bars on the three walls that don't house a stage, so there's huge crowds all over the sides, nowhere to stand but the middle. Pretty standard? Nah, the place has a general admission pit area in front of the stage with FANCY RAMPS all the way down. Why not put it all on a single floor (ADA still!) and then you wouldn't have to waste so much space. Super disappointed that this venue was so bad. I am glad I saw Waterparks at Elevation 27 in VA Beach during The Night Out on Earth Tour. I miss the 930 Club in...
Read moreSincerely surprised this place isn’t shut down by a fire marshal based on how much they are overselling general admission. Went to a show recently and left after 3 songs because we were genuinely concerned it was unsafe. There was NO room to move whatsoever , zero view of the stage and over-served patrons spilling drinks on us left and right (tough to avoid when you’re as tightly packed as they had the venue)
Fortunately, for those who are handicapped, they did have the security helping to shove people out of the way (literally shove you) in order to get them to a safe place. I can’t even imagine how it would feel in this environment being in a wheelchair/crutches. Must be a nightmare
The crowd levels have gotten worse over the years. I have no proof, but I do wonder if they are increasingly overselling in an attempt to maximize profits at the attendees expense.
I’d highly suggest you stick to other venues in the area. Or, if you must go here, pay for...
Read moreSecurity was present with 2 checkpoints to get into Disney Springs, then into the venue, but they weren't oppressively present during the show. The place is very good at keeping cool, and there was barely any smoking, so overall, it was a comfortable enviroment. And they sell giant slices of pizza! It's pretty much standing room only with no seating, save for a designated disabled section (which honestly I used near the end because I was sore and exhausted. Shhh). I can't think of much that was wrong with the place. Audio mixing was a little weird at times with some bands just sounding like garbled walls of noise, but let's be honest: if the drums cut through (which they do), you can bop even if you can only barely hear the lyrics, and don't hear the...
