Go for it. Buy the tickets. Buy them twice! The show is...Magical. Creative. Whimsical. Funny. Poignant. Inspiring. Stunning. You will laugh, cheer, gasp, and maybe even shed a tear. I don't want to give away too many details because it's more fun to let the story and performance unfold as intended without spoilers, but there are layers of humor and complexity to the plot and performance that make it a wonderful show for young, old, and everyone in between. We bought tickets through the free child promo, but would absolutely buy full price tickets with no promo in the future because it was such an incredible value for the experience. This is a professional production to the max, from the ushers who are actively working the crowd and catering to every need, to the performers who are risking life and limb to create an innovative show. The theater is semi-intimate in size so feel free to get those second level seats- you will be able to see just fine. Clean bathrooms, including a separate 'companion' bathroom for families or caretakers to assist others. Reasonably priced concessions. The show features a huge variety of acts from trapeze and acrobat artists to "clowns" (not the scary old school kind), unicycle fairies (yep! Lol), dancers, and more. It has danger and humor and jaw dropping illusions that we honestly couldn't entirely figure out. The set, lighting, music (with live musicians too!), and costuming were done to utter perfection and enhanced the plot. The show is reminiscent at times of the old 3 ring style circus in terms of depth of activity happening. While a main performance is happening, there are often other secondary characters or activities happening elsewhere on stage. It all works together but I'd honestly love to see this again just to be able to focus more specifically on those "easter egg" moments. Very clever in the details of how they've constructed everything. Stunning show, great for the whole family. You...
Read moreThe show was absolutely spectacular! Every character was beautifully portrayed, and the costumes were bursting with gorgeous, vibrant colors. The talent and creativity on display were beyond impressive. One of the standout moments was the Blue Fairy from Pinocchio performing a thrilling unicycle act that had me on the edge of my seat. Julie and Mr. Pencil completely won over the audience with their charm and energy from beginning to end.
My family’s favorites were the Owls on the Wheel of Death and the breathtaking Aerial Pencil act—both acts showcased such strength, grace, and precision. We’re truly grateful we had the chance to experience this magical performance right here in Orlando.
My 5-star rating is based on the show and the incredibly talented performers. However, I did want to share a few thoughts about the venue at Disney Springs. While the performance was flawless, the arena itself presented some challenges. There appeared to be only one elevator for guests, which made access difficult for the many seniors and guests in wheelchairs waiting in line. Although stairs are available, they’re obviously not a safe or fair option for everyone.
The arena has three levels for seating, but the only bathrooms and snack stand are located on the second floor. It would have been more considerate and practical to offer restroom access on every level. Also, the seats themselves were quite small and not especially comfortable. I noticed a few guests struggling to fit into the standard seating, and unfortunately, the website does not mention accommodations for those who may need extra space—though I was glad to see there was adequate room for wheelchair users.
Despite these concerns, the creativity and heart of this production shine through. Kudos to Disney and Pixar for bringing this beautiful animated world to life with such imagination and soul.
Highly recommend the show—just come prepared for a few venue...
Read more(May Contain Spoilers) This show is fantastic for those who love Disney, with allusions to their animated classics incorporated in both direct and subtle ways. The artistic direction of the show takes the Disney theme and weaves it into a beautiful display of the creative process that takes place in an animator's mind. In this case, the animator is a young child who is pulled into the whimsical and nostalgic world of Disney animation through her connection to the art via her lost father. The show dances through elements of story and the creative process to create an epic journey of growth and, in a way grief, in classic Cirque style. The show is colorful, creative, and artistically done with respects to a collaborative show between Disney and Cirque du Soleil. We enjoyed the allusions to the Ink and Paint Girls of early animation along with the playful montage of Disney medleys being overlayed into each sequence. Our favorite sequences were the Silly Symphony section with the Old Mill (loved that connection and the use of classic works). With that being said, for those who have seen multiple Cirque shows, including La Nouba, this may be an underwhelming experience for you. The selection of acrobatic stunts that were chosen for this show don't quite pull you to the edge of your seat as much as you might have experienced from other Cirque shows. The show is slow in some spots. For example, the aerial/dance sequence between the child's parents that takes place behind the scrim was a touching moment, but ultimately forgetful. The only reason it comes to mind is that the male dancer doesn't do much. It's artistic, but doesn't add much to the overall show experience. Overall, if you love Disney and can't get enough of it, this show is for you. If you do love Cirque shows but aren't a Disney fan, you can probably bypass this experience without...
