This place is incredible. With friends in town, we gave them the choice of picking a restaurant for dinner. I originally would have picked something different, but I'm absolutely sold on this place now.
First off, it's massive. Even with social distancing and people more than six feet away at their own tables, we probably saw over 200 people in the restaurant.
Secondly, there was an unbelievable selection of beer on tap. It really doesn't matter what your taste is, they'll have something that fits the bill. If you're not sure, you can also craft your own flight to find out what you like best. There's something here for everyone.
Thirdly, this is a sports bar. If you're in the game to watch a game, since you can't see them in person, this is a great option. There's a screen everywhere by the bar showing any number of games that are happening.
Finally, the staff. Our waitress was Lindsay. You couldn't have asked for a more responsive and involved waitress than her. A few issues came up with some food and a beer, but she addressed them quickly and without any concerns.
We started out with appetizers, since they just happened to be offering free appetizers for signing up as a new customer. We started with smoked wings, fried cheese curds and fried pickles. The fried pickles weren't really my thing, but to each their own. Others seemed to enjoy them. The wings had great smoky flavor and were very meaty. Of course, the cheese curds are fried chunks of cheese. How can you mess that up? They didn't and I enjoyed every bite.
As far as the food goes, I will have a hard time ever ordering anything besides the Filet Mignon sliders. Those were way above average and went down pretty easily. They had juicy pieces of meat, just the right sauce and a decent serving of fries on the side.
Other members had a chicken sandwich and one started with the Tex Mex Mac and Cheese. I'm told that the chicken sandwich was good, but not great. The Tex Mex Mac and Cheese was flippin' hot. I'm a spicy food fan and this stuff is no joke. The heat of the sauce completely overwhelmed the flavor. If you like hot, this is for you. If you don't, I'd caution you against it. The waitress took it away and brought a more tame version, which was then enjoyed much more.
Again, whatever the issues may have been, they were quickly addressed by the staff and for me, that brought the whole experience up to a five. It had everything I was looking for and is a...
Read moreThis is the most mediocre experience I have had in a long time. Went there with my whole family, got drinks and appetizers. Drinks were probably one of the most flavorful parts of the night. The appetizers were just okay, nothing special (we got the pretzel bites and the fried pickles). When it came to food, we waited up to 40 minutes for the main entrees to come out. They only arrived when our server realized we had no food after a while. As for the food, there was a very confusing mix up. One of the members of our party had wanted to order the meatloaf but later came to the table and said they were "out" (at 6:15pm mind you). But when the food finally arrived, the meatloaf came with it and the server delivering the food was extremely confused when we informed him our server for the night had said they were "out". So now we had an extra dish, which wasn't necessary bad, but it meant it didn't really get eaten, which felt wasteful. And now we get to the food. I have never felt so sorry for a salmon to die in my life. The presentation was a lie to the experience I was about to have. It had no flavor, and was extremely dry. The vegetables it was served with had no seasoning. It said it came with "salsa verde" but only a few sad cilantro leaves were on top. As for the fingerling potatoes it came with? Three. Three undercooked sad little potatoes, couldn't hardly cut them with a knife. It was an extremely disappointing meal. My party members had a mix of responses to their dishes. One got the smoked Mac and cheese which didn't have any hint of smoke and wasn't very cheesy. The bacon cheeseburger was very dry and also had no flavor. The only thing that I tried off one of the members of the group that actually felt like a true culinary experience of flavors was the smoked meatloaf. Amazing. The staff were somewhat accommodating with the mixup with the entree dishes, and offered a small discount. Overall though, not worth coming back to. Save your money and go somewhere else. If you'd like to eat somewhere with flavor, you won't...
Read moreWe made a reservation, and since it's through Disney we had to pay ten dollars per person to simply reserve a table. We always make sure to check the menu online prior to going to any restaurant. The review other places that we wanted to try in Disney springs, but this place was able to accommodate an early reservation, AND had a lot of food to choose from. We got here and the menu was one sheet. All the items we saw online, did not exist. We asked the waiter to which we were told "oh maybe it was a main menu for the business, and not for here". Which I don't believe that's even a thing, but if it was, why is it on the Disney page??? The small list of foods had me wanting to leave but apparently we would be charged the $40 for the reservation. So we stayed. The food wasn't necessarily bad, it was generic. Whenever we go to Disney we try to find the places that are unlike what we have at home. Places that have really unique dishes or even basic dishes, but taste phenomenal, or a really cool atmosphere. This restaurant was neither. It fell flat. The items on the menu are very generic and the food itself just wasn't mind blowing, and they establishment just kind of felt like being in a cliche restaurant pub. We have done paddlefish, dlux burger and T-Rex in Disney springs, all of which have either provided us with a very different type of menu or amazingly delicious mouthwatering food or a fun place to dine. I can honestly say this was probably our worst restaurant for the entire 8 days we were in Orlando. We even had meals outside of the Disney resort that were absolutely mind-blowing, especially in comparison to this place. Of all the places in Disney and the area surrounding to choose from, this would probably be one of the last on my list. The only thing that I could possibly commend of this entire evening was the buffalo chicken dip as the appetizer. That was actually quite good. But unfortunately for us everything else was a real...
