Old Town School of Folk Music - The Myron R. Szold Music & Dance Hall — Attraction in Lake View Township

I came here to hear local artist Sandra Antongiorgi (pictured with the guitar) perform and to experience a new-to-me venue and loved them both!!! The venue was great with floor to stadium seating which created no bad seats in the housre. The acoustics and sound quality was on point and to my wonderful surprise...cocktails amd beer. As you walk up the stairs you are greeted with a friendly face, welcome and sight of beer, wine & cocktail selection to enjoy with the performance. During intermission and after the performance is when I got to see the music school in action. People were happily in their class sessions learning to play instruments and possibly dreaming of performing one day across the hall on the stage. I really loved the juxtaposition of having seasoned performers and novices being cared for in the same venue. I also found out about the volunteers that worked space.
