The venue itself is beautiful, it really is a hidden gem. With that said, it is a good 30 to 40 minutes from the strip. The getting ready rooms are a bit small, and it seems there is a bit of wasted space upstairs. I will say that my Bride and Groom met with Monica for the walk through and to get the contract started. At that point we were handed off to Kaitlyn, which I thought was strange, but it seemed to go well. At one point Lotus House changed their packages, and it took too much time in my opinion to get a copy of the old packages to see in fact what came with what they chose, as they booked a year and a half out. We arrived for our walk thru that was scheduled and confirmed multiple times with Kaitlyn, where Monica was there and had no idea why we were there. That was a red flag. She then did not walk with us to confirm the placement of things, instead went into her office and left us on our own. Again, strange way to conduct the final walk through. I also found it strange that Kaitlyn who we confirmed with was not there. Day of the wedding arrives, and we arrive at 10 am when we were told to arrive and that things would be set and ready to go to, however the venue was still being cleaned and furniture removed from the wedding the night before. After an hour the tables were just about all set up â after moving them because they were not in the right place â could have been avoided if Monica actual attended the walk thru. The lights arrived around 2:30, same with the DJ. Caters were there but no one set the napkins and silverware until we were starting the ceremony at 4 pm â this pissed me off as you can imagine. While we were setting up Monica had not one but 2 walk throughs with potential couples â completely unprofessional and in our way of a venue WE RENTED. At some point on the wedding day we were passed off to Jessika and thank goodness! Jessika is absolutely amazing! I wish we had had her from the beginning â she was on top of things, and even though Monica didnât tell her what was going on, she didnât let it faze her, she was on top of things and was quick to help. The caterer and bartenders were amazing and super friendly. Jessika is the one who saved this review from being one star, without her I would never recommend this...
Read moreWhile The Lotus House is nice, folks looking for a potential event space should know that they may need to reserve extra seats for the owners. I attended my brother-in-lawâs wedding here and two of the owners showed up less than an hour after the ceremony began talking about City of Las Vegas code enforcement and guests needing to move their cars from the closed-for-the-day daycare next door and the nearby neighborhoods. If youâre considering renting this space for a large wedding, graduation party, family reunion, etc., be warned that The Lotus House only has parking for about 15-20 cars on-site, and theyâll also tell you that you canât park in the house driveway because âsomeone may see all the cars in the driveway and report it, which will get the wedding shut down.â Yes, thatâs right â if you have multiple people park in the driveway of a house you paid thousands of dollars to rent, your event may get shut down. The most unbelievable part of all this is the fact that the owners then spent the rest of the event sitting inside their car in the driveway â weâre talking upwards of four hours. So unprofessional and unnecessary.
If this wasnât enough, there was also a noise complaint from a neighbor (or the owners in the driveway) about the DJ and music being too loud between 7pm and 7:30pm. And we werenât throwing a college rager, people! Just trying to get two kids hitched and play some love songs.
I'm not sure if The Lotus House is an event space that's not supposed to be in the neighborhood and is trying to fly under the radar, or if angry neighbors have complained about the venue one too many times, or what it may be, but I would encourage folks to review their contracts and make sure you get all the nitty gritty details in writing (like parking and music) before proceeding with...
Read moreThe Lotus House is a beautiful and well-maintained venue thereâs no denying that. I recently toured the space with Monica, and the experience was lovely. She was friendly, informative, and made the tour enjoyable. Monica mentioned that we would receive a follow-up email with all the details by the end of the day (our tour was early Saturday morning).
Unfortunately, that email never arrived as promised. I understand things can fall through the cracks, especially on a busy weekend, so I waited a few days. Since the office is closed on Sundays and Mondays, I followed up via email, but received no response. I ultimately had to call to get in touch, and thatâs when I finally received the information from Jessika, which I appreciated.
However, communication remained inconsistent from that point on. I typically waited around four days for any response via email. After Jessika sent over the package details, I replied the same day to request a proposal. Four days laterâafter touring another venueâI followed up again, hoping to compare pricing before making a decision. I received a response stating the proposal would be sent by Tuesday, 8/26. That date has passed, and I still havenât received the proposal or any update.
This has been really disappointing, as I was seriously considering booking with The Lotus House. But if this is the communication level at the inquiry stage, I canât imagine what the planning process would be like. Ultimately, I booked elsewhere.
Itâs a real shame, because the venue itself is stunning and had strong potential. Unfortunately, the lack of responsiveness and follow-through made it difficult to move forward with confidence. Reliable communication is essential in wedding planningâand sadly, that just wasnât my...
