After passing this coffee shop several times in the evening hours while visiting other businesses in the immediate area, I finally got to try this place out. My wife and I decided to stop here because it's been a while since we visited a new coffee shop and because the weather was cool and rainy - perfect to have a warm cup of coffee/latte.
We didn't order any food for this visit, but if I feel froggy down the road, I'll definitely try it out. We ordered the Pulp Fiction latte with Oat Milk and Sweet Emotion latte. Overall, I'd say that the drinks were ok. If I were to pick which drink was better than the other, I'd say the Pulp Fiction was better. I was extremely floored that this coffee shop does not offer 2% or fat free milk for their drinks. Instead, I was told only whole milk, half-half, oat milk, and almond milk were available. It's rare that I'll opt for whole milk unless I was stranded on a deserted island and that was surprisingly the only thing to drink - sorry, I'm just not a whole milk fan. I've never visited any coffee shop that doesn't have fat free (skim) or 2% milk.
The employees seemed friendly enough during my short visit. The cleanliness of the shop was slightly concerning since I observed several food items on the floor. Although, it was nothing to get bent out of shape over. The shop's décor was quaint, which greatly contributes to the relaxing ambiance while visiting. The prices were reasonable and my hat's off to the business for supporting the active men and women of the Armed Forces, to include its Veterans - truly remarkable!
All-in-all, this coffee shop is not my favorite in this city, nor would I sit here and say that it is absolutely horrible either. Based on the online reviews and the fact that this place had several customers hanging out in the shop during my visit, I know that a lot of people enjoy coming here. For me though, this is a 3-star rating...meaning, "It's ok." Again, if I ever feel froggy enough to revisit this shop, I definitely would like to try their food items. I'll be sure to update my rating/review for that visit, if applicable. I always believe in trying things at least once, but twice if possible (just to filter out any unusual circumstances that may have occurred during the first visit). Meaning, if you haven't been here before, I'm still recommending this place to you. Here's to hoping that this coffee shop will have fat free or 2% on hand during my next...
Read more12/29 My girlfriend came here today. And was given the worst customer service, and literally just basic human decency ever. Your three closers this afternoon were awful, and truly coming from someone whose worked in coffee, you would never ever see this at another cafe. These three people need to be taught some basic leadership skills, or better yet some social skills. You had two girls, and one boy displaying your cafe in an awful light this afternoon, and I truly hopes it gets corrected. She accidentally went to the pick up area instead of the cashier spot, and all three of your baristas just starred at her completely dumbfounded. None of them even spoke to her, or acknowledged her whatsoever, she was the one who had to ask. Then you guys run out of a product to make her drink, which is fine things like this happen, but then one of the girls comes up to her and instead of actually being helpful, goes "were out of mocha." and just stares at her, and then blantly goes "what do you want instead." Her tone was awful, literally awful. I dont need to go into anymore detail in order for you guys to see what the issue of her experience this afternoon was. Im sure you can see it very clearly. I cant even offer grace for this experience, this was just so...
Read moreI would never recommend this coffee shop, specifically this location, due to the horrible employees and horrible customer service.
I am writing this review because of the poor customer service I have received while waiting for my DoorDash order. When I arrived, there was no acknowledgment that I was standing right in front of them for a good 5 minutes. There was no greeting, no "how can we help you," nothing. While I was waiting to be helped, another Caucasian customer walked in and they were immediately greeted and given a menu. I then realized that this must be one of those places where you have to fight to even be served because I'm a person of color.
Then, I approached the cashier and asked for my order. She then stated that it had been prepared and asked me to wait. After 15 more minutes, I approached the counter again and asked for the order because, mind you, the online system had already said the orders were ready to be picked up before I even walked into the coffee shop. Unfortunately, I was told that someone else had already picked up the order.
After 20 minutes of waiting, they told me they didn't have my order, and they didn't even apologize or acknowledge...
