We live right around the corner. We stopped coming here because of the lack of organization. Fast forward a couple years, we decided to give it another shot. The food isn’t bad. Is it the best? No. Is it ok, yes. Is it worth the price they charge for an omelette compared to others within a 3 mile range of them? Nope! Next, we called ahead and were told 15-20. They accepted our call ahead. We got there in 18 min from the time we called. We checked in and they said they’d seat us soon. Fast forward 22 minutes and we were still sitting threre. 3 larger families than ours (2-7 people parties and 1-6 person party) who didn’t have call aheads walked in and got on the waiting list without a call ahead. All 3 families were seated ahead of us. I finally got annoyed and checked back in just to be told they got things mixed up and it said our table was already ready but nobody notified the front. They took us back to a table already occupied. We stood there, in the middle of two tables of people eating, uncomfortable, and finally got seated. THEN, we see they’re charging nearly $5 for some orange juice!!!!! THEN, we see a sign on the table that says for every “shelled egg”, there is another charge of $.50 per egg due to an egg shortage (adding an additional $1.50 per omelette ordered on top of the already high $17.50 price for the omelette). THEN, we see a cash vs credit card price. If we pay cash (seriously, who cares cash in that amount) we save $.75 or so). So, moral of the story, we get charged more for using a credit card, more for every egg shelled due to a shortage, and nearly $5 for a breakfast drink. Hmmm…already screwing us on the price of an omelette just to do it to us on juice, upping the egg price on top of an already silly price, then charging a credit card surcharge???? Yeah, won’t be back. Ever. And if you look at my prior reviews of other places, I hardly ever leave bad reviews. This should tell...

Horrible service. Waited a really long time for bad food. Not at all worth it.

The first time I went to this restaurant my experience was great. I recently went again and I had the complete opposite experience.

From the beginning, I do not know why I stayed so long when it took more than 30 minutes to get seated. Initially, they told us it would take 20 - 25 minutes to get seated. We waited and waited and kept being told that the table needed to be cleaned. It took a really long time to have one table for us cleaned, then finally we were seated. The group I was with were all present and went to the table as soon as they showed us to it. Since we had been waiting for so long we knew what we wanted and wanted to get the order done since we had waited for so long. But the server had a different plan and when we tried to order food said, "No, just drink."

There was a table next to us that the whole party was not there yet they were getting more help/ service than we did. We were treated so bad. We didn't get things. Member of my party ordered champagne and never got a bucket of ice. Yet, all the other tables that order it had one. We needed to ask a server for the bucket. After a really long time, the server finally did us the favor of taking our orders.

The food took forever to get it. Some members of our party had to leave and did not get any food. All the had that day was hours of waiting. The food was burnt and not great. So not worth the wait or bad service.

At the end of the day, this horrible experience is partially on us for waiting and putting up with so much. But we were just being understanding and patient but totally was not worth it. After, all that we went through all we received was a partial discount. This is why I must say, stay away...

I’ve eaten here numerous times since they are right around the corner. I’ve taken friends visiting outta town.

So being a breakfast place they are spot-on. Food is perfect n don’t have to give a suggestion on cooking the bacon. First time eating there, I made the mistake of ordering 3 blueberry pancakes n an omelette thinking I’d get small pancakes, etc. Nope…got huge pancakes I could barely finish n an omelette to go.

Today was fun. I learned my lesson n got 2 blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs n bacon, with OJ n coffee. I’m not a morning guy, but she was getting nails done at 10 so I said drop me off at Egg Works. Being a single customer I said seat me at the bar. Wow that was entertaining n eye-opening! Watching the fast paced flow of the kitchen, the waitresses n even the staff marking n preparing bags for online orders (who orders pancakes or eggs to go or delivery!? You need to eat that fresh on the spot!). I had two waitresses checking in on me as well as the gals packing up delivery bags next to my bar seat.

I’ve always appreciated food folks…I could never do your job because my temperament doesn’t work with that so I appreciate what you do even more seeing it like today. Your staff is amazing! As busy as you were I got a few fist bumps n quick chats while I was eating. You will always be my go-to for breakfast. I tipped the same as my meal n It’s minuscule overall but recognizing the service today n every time. I was gonna mark down atmosphere since it’s just a regular diner (other than the train) but the staff is so engaging it makes the...

This is definitely one of the best breakfast restaurants in the Vegas Valley, bar none! Of course, there are a few of them but this is my favorite location and one that my wife and I always make a point to stop at whenever we make our way up north to Tahoe/Carson City. As you can guess, breakfast is their thing and holy cow, do they ever have a HUGE menu and with TONS of great options. I personally love their Mexican Omelette with seasoned potatoes and my wife enjoys the Brad's Scramble and we both always make sure to get the Banana Nut Muffin as it is the BOMB (trust me, way better than toast)! I should note that it can get really busy especially on a Sunday morning after church lets out but if you're willing to dine at the counter, you can usually find a couple of seats. Otherwise, be prepared to wait a bit and know that it's worth it. If nothing else, it'll give you a chance to look at the specials and to enjoy the scale model train circling around the restaurant. Need I say, the kids definitely love this! While dining, if there's ever a time when you need something, simply flip the egg face from a smiling black to a sad yellow and help will be on the way. While there is plenty of parking available in the free lot, you may have to find a spot further back if you come late in the morning. Hope you enjoy!

Egg Works is nothing short of being one of the greatest breakfast venues I have ever had the privilege of savoring, bar none. The restaurant is extremely fun, with this location supposedly being the only one that features the miniature train set chugging around the ceiling of the dining hall, and the excellent staff make it a fun experience for kids in heart of all ages. None of this would be effective without stellar food, and in this aspect it absolutely soars. There is not one bad item on the menu, and everything here ranges from great to superb: as a massive coffee lover, unlimited coffee was already a huge plus, and the blueberry or chocolate pancakes for the kids, chili and eggs, sides of prime rib, chili coated breakfast burritos, eggs and omelettes, banana nut muffins, and so much more went well beyond my expectations. On top of all of this, our initial visit here was on the Fourth of July, and the quality of the service and the welcoming nature was so strong that we almost immediately went back yet again. This place was a local recommendation, and is one that I eagerly recommend to anyone else who loves great food, service, and location.
