Owens Flower Shop — Local services in Lawrence

My friend and Navy Shipmate Darrell Joe Sharp of 58+ years passed away in Lawerence KS last week. We were on the same ship and also severed in Viet Nam supplying fuel to all the armed forces and ships in 66-70. I'm an old man and not techie at all. I typed in best florist in Lawerence KS. It told me Owens Florist. I called and Samantha K answered and took charge. I told her what I wanted. Red, white & blue with a sash that said Shipmate. I just received a picture of the arrangement. It was everything and more than I ever expected. It made an Old Man tear up with the memories of bygone days. Samanatha K is what every business needs. She is very professional, knowledgeable, nice and very courteous. She handled everything very professional while having to deal with an Old Man. I chose Owen's Flower Shop as my florist for my wedding and man I was not disappointed. Katie worked with me to figure out just exactly what I wanted and quickly caught onto my vision. She was able to get white anemones for me in January and I can't thank her enough because those flowers are hard to get year around and I absolutely LOVE them. They did my bouquets, boutonnières, centerpieces, and flower display for my arch - whatever they used to keep my flowers alive on a snowy winter day (My wedding was January 14th) worked WONDERS as those flowers stayed fresh looking for another two days AFTER. They also provided my wedding favors which were succulents and they were as gorgeous as everything else - as well as flowers to go on my three cakes!

Wow! I want more stars to give. What a pleasant experience, start to finish. Customer service is alive and well at Owens. The website had gorgeous flowers but I was working with a paltry budget (by flower standards) and also needed to split fund it so I ended up calling the store. The lady I spoke with quickly understood what I needed and was very accommodating. I was super pleased with just the ordering experience as many times when placing an order I am left with the feeling that I'm bothering the retailer and they are doing me a favor by taking my order. If this wasn't enough, I just received an email delivery receipt AND a picture of the gorgeous flowers. Such a nice touch and it blew me away. I will always order from Owens when possible.
